I just like seeing people like parish etc make fools of themselves, kind of revenge for having to put up with such idiots in real life. Really, parish has major issues lol

You want a logical basis? Think about this: a multiplayer game must provide (reasonable) enjoyment for all its players. They are all invested in the game, not just you. If you do something that I and many others find unacceptable, then it is our right to comment and complain.

Perfect case in point: if I buy this game and log on and tk and tk and tk over and over, deliberately, then what would happen? Other players would call for my being booted. But wait, I say! Don't I have the right to play as I like? Nope, because my enjoyment does not take precedence over other players'. If enough players find my conduct disrupts their play, their right is greater than mine.

If you like to dive, fine -- do it with like-minded players on your own servers, no loss to anyone. But now that EA is apparently ruling that type of play is not allowed, it's disingenuous to go on about your "right" to do something that will be disallowed.

And by the way? If you're going to call for a cessation on attacks, you should attend to your own post. Phrases like "self-righteous" come to mind.

That's what i'm talkin about, way to go pal....totally agree....

You did leave yourself waaay open with this, though: " Therefore your idea that everyone should have reasonable enjoyment is like i said "KIND and nice" but its not possible " I think you totally fail to understand what I'm saying.

Everyone goes into a game expecting to enjoy it. If they don't, they will leave. And if the reason for not enjoying it is reasonable, then more people will leave, and you know what happens to MP games without players? Or do you expect people to stick around when they don't enjoy the game? And please -- don't claim that the majority of people like the hopping, etc. If they did, then EA wouldn't propose a change, would they?

As for the rest of it -- you can keep repeating that I'm not reasonable in my comments, but that's all you've done. And mere repetition without foundation is not an argument.

          Look over your stuff again.

Should everyone who plays bf2 get enjoyment? yes! but im telling you its not possible. please atleast this time pay attention , and answer:

          3 questions
Will everyone who plays bf2 or any mp game enjoy it?___
Does everyone who plays bf2 or any mp game always get enjoyment?___
Does or will everyone who plays bf2 or any mp game think about other player's enjoyment and how they might be effecting that enjoyment?_____

The answers are no. Plain and simple. I keep telling you what your saying is kind and nice but just like you said here :

"Everyone goes into a game expecting to enjoy it. If they don't, they will leave. And if the reason for not enjoying it is reasonable, then more people will leave," you are agreeing with me that there will be some people that arent getting enjoyment and therefore NOT EVERYONE WILL GET ENJOYMENT. I dont know how to put it any simpler or into more plain words for you.

I keep saying it and ill say it one last time: The idea that everyone should get enjoyment is a good idea but its not possible because when your interacting with people in a mp game their ideas about whats enjoyable will not be your ideas about whats enjoyable and the 2 are not interchangeable. SOMEONE WILL NOT ENJOY WHAT THE OTHER THINKS IS ENJOYABLE. WHAT UTOPIAN SOCIETY DO U HAIL FROM?

I'm not saying that I don't bunny-jump, because I am prone to panic and do everything I can to escape. Most of the time, I don't have to when I'm a sniper, but most of the time when I am medic, I will. But I live by a saying that I've picked up in a movie.

            Me:"Are you saing I'm able to bunny-jump?"
Other Me:"No, I'm saying that, when you're ready, you won't have to."

I don't want to critisice other people for their tactics, they bought the game as much as I did, and how they play is all up to them. Some people enjoy winning, other don't mind, whatever floats your boat is okay with me, as long as you don't cheat or do anything that clearly isn't possible for others to do like walking through walls.

But offcourse, I don't like being killed, either by a bunny-jumper or by others and would wery much wish that other people stopped shooting in my general direction

              Quality post...amen brother.

I am the following amoral type and proud of it......"But there are a third sort of player, those such as myself, who approach the game with an amoral eye. The competition player does not handicap himself, because he knows his opponent will show him no such courtesy. These players work to gain a competitive edge within the game, and are willing to use any tactic to achieve it."

So, nastie, if it were discovered that you could warp undergournd and shoot up through it and kill your enemy, it would be perfectly acceptible to do so in your eyes?

Again...."brainy smurf" misses the clear point of the post. Brainy doesn't know the difference between using every available option available and cheating. Brainy wants to be slick and prove a point by trying to bait the BUTLER. But as usual in every episode Brainy ends up with a smurf berry pie in his blue face whilst saying...."Papa smurf aaaaalways says never take advantage of a glitch because glitches are wrong."

                                Re: To the "Moral" Player

good post ender, you totally reflect how i have been feeling about this game. One of the people who replied to the thread in the first or second page said that most players are children, they have bad attitudes, and by children, i don't just mean a 12 year old, I am for instance almost 25 years old and an 17-18 or even 20 year old is a child to me, and it's normal that i am a child for a 40 year old. Anyways, the thing is, this kind of argument will always be there as long as this is a multiplayer game where everyone around the world plays it at the same time. I wish there would be a way to divide players to sections with respect to their age. I think this would be better for younger players especially as we can't use certain words or language in the game. Also, the way, again people from different age groups, people play the game differs tremendously with respect to age. Whatever you say, an 18 year old will not have the same perception as a 30 year old. And that difference WILL make a problem most times, as 18 year old is most likely to play the game to gain ranks, points, badges, as he is satisfied and honored with the fact that his clan wins the game etc. (Please realize that i am not saying certainly, but "most likely". This means i do NOT talk about everyone, but this is the general case)

This topic is one of the most civil discussions about this issue so far. Please keep it mature as we would have to lock it as soon as flaming starts. Thanks for your understanding.

                                Regards,

                                Maranello
