To all of you bunny hoppers, dolphin divers, and apologists...
Re: To all of you bunny hoppers, dolphin divers, and apologists...
I can't imagine a 18+ year old complaining about stuff to EA... get a life. It must be all the little nooblets that suck, I could kill a bunny hopper any day, they don't bug me.
Re: To all of you bunny hoppers, dolphin divers, and apologists...
Looks like this patch fixes all problems I had with this game but noob tubing, seems too good to be true...but maybe EA got it right this time. Maybe not, but Ill just be optimistic for now. Still, I think BF2 is still a good game even with these problems, but these changes would improve the gameplay.

Yeah, well, you had 6 months of fun, now its our turn.
Besides.. do you really think planes are going to stop being #1 vehicles? I doubt it.
lol well 6 months of fun are 6 months of practice (of course not just jets) but finally i managed to get a 40:0 or 50:1 avaiter ratio every round, now they gonna make the jets weaker lol... jk, as i said, i dont really mind the changes on AA, but as for the rest of the fixes, i dont approve of them.

I'm telling you - you'd be hard-pressed to find a design team more disconnected from its own product.
It's really amazing that this seems to be the case. Consitering how big these guys were into Tribes and how they didn't back away from implementing "deeper" concepts (like Irrational did with T:V), it blows me away that such a ham-fisted aprouch to tweeks would be taken here.
Makes me almost think "The Weasle" got involved somehow...
(If ya don't get that referance, don't worry. I'm taking a shot at one of the worst and over-paid influances in the games industry)
If they played half as often as we did, they'd realize very quickly that nixing shooting while jumping has a whole series of negative ancillary effects - among other things.
No kidding. I wonder if maybe these fixes are being rammed down their throtes by EA.
Re: To all of you bunny hoppers, dolphin divers, and apologists...
What ****es me off about this update is that they still haven't addressed the BS blackhawk on mashtuur. Blackhawk needs to get machine guns or at least finite ammo.
Did you actually read the first post? They're making the miniguns weaker.
I can't wait for the new patch, sounds like they are finally making changes that should have been made way back in 1.03. Now for the red name bug.....
According to battlefield2.nl that'll be fixed too (and all their info about the other patches was correct)
Some other things they mentioned:
-Can't reload weapon while jumping
-Defibrilators (sp?) reload automatically while not in use)
-Bug with linux servers fixed
-Better performance in big fights with much effects like flashbangs, teargas, etc
-Difference between coordinates on the map and the commander screen has been fixed
-Red-tag bug fixed
-This patch OR one of the patches after 1.2 will contain a new map.
Re: To all of you bunny hoppers, dolphin divers, and apologists...
Not being able to shoot while jumping was the wrong choice. Not only is it unrealistic, but it'll create a whole new crop to problems. What they really needed to do was make the weapons inaccurate as hell while jumping. Just add another postion deviation line in the weapon ini files and you're good to go. That means bunny hoppers might shoot back, but the wont hit anything.
Im really wary of improving sniper rifle accuracy though. Snipers aren't a huge problem now, but if they get accurate we are going to see a huge proliferation of them and it will be annoying as hell to play the game.

The US one can? news to me.. well, good they fixed that.
Yeah, I saw a guy run through a hole in the fence and just starting putting holes through it (the fence) with the LAV-25's cannon, killing the guy. (I didn't even know you could do this until this update was put up.:p)
Re: To all of you bunny hoppers, dolphin divers, and apologists...
Sprint bug i do believe but dont quote me is when sprinting you do a jump and your bar dosnt go down but its in the timing (this is the bug) of the jump, we learnt it from an infantry only match when the other team beat us to the centre flag on kubra dam as both sides. Upon checking BF recorder this is what they did so my guys practiced it and whilst i couldnt get it to work they said they did.
The TV guided missiles, it would be so much better if they lower the distance as they say but have the replenish bar continue up so you can do long distance shots, this way it would take much longer for it to reload (because your waiting for the distance to increase) meaning less shots so each one became more precious but the long distance shots from there still existed should you want to wait for it to take the time to load. If that makes any sense lol.

Thats one opinion, i for one dont mind these changes. I am not a noob, i do however like to see the gameplay change from the quake-ish stuff its now to the "tactical teamplay" that dice pimped it out to be before it was released.
