If EA are going to make us buy the expansion to make playa against expansion players on an even ground, well they might as well offer packages to increase your health by double for only $50. Because that is EXACTLY what they are doing to the game.

I didn't buy SF because...I don't want to deal with it...but now I'm being FORCED to deal with it? If I at least had the ability to also get the stuff, then maybe it's not so bad.

I get the problem, i don't have the expansion aswell, but really... anyone else find it funny that somone with a good enough pc and an online connection can't afford a $30 expansion? Rofl, just ask for it for christmas or somthing.

Nah, when you think about it and you don't have to think very hard at all.
That was really low of EA to do that, but than again, I'd expect nothing less from them.

It's companies like EA that entice people to hack keys and crap, people can only take so much before they fight back.

That's ignoring the problem, killing him and picking it up. It's just like making 1 player in the server have a million health and have super guns. You could could him...eventually...and pick up his weapon and get the health...but heck...why on earth is there a super guy in there to begin with?

New stuff doesn't make you alot better. Anyone interested in BF2 would buy it since you get new maps, guns etc... some are just cheap imo

THe weapons in SF aren't that good.

And I think it is all an H&K marketing ploy anyway. See my rant in other places about that :)

But seriously the only "good" weapon in the expansion is the FN2000, And it isn't that much better than the AK-GP30 combo. It has a nice sight picture and an average grenade launcher, with a horrid full auto spread.

The others are all "Meh!". I do like the SCAR H, but you can't unlock that for BF2 anyway.

While there is an argument to be sid for not letting it be used in standard BF2, I don't see why you shouldn't be able to.

If you are playing as USMC you can't access the MEC weapons either. Just think of it as another unlock you don't have. Spend $30 and you can get it

There isn't really any advantage of these weapons over the other ones. They aren't more powerful, if they are, they are less accurate.

Letting them use the Zip lines and grappling hooks could upset things, but I'm still not too sure. You can use those if you are near a deployed one anyway.

You don't even need to do that though. Go play BF2SF on a friends PC using your name, and you can get some unlocks, and unlock the SF weapons, and you can use them in Vanilla BF2 anyway.

Its simply wrong that stuff from sf is available in bf2 its as simple as that you buy any other expansion for any other game and you dont get to take your new stuff into the older version. Now the weapons might not be an improvement on the older weapons but they will add a different dimension to the way people play the game. Compare the regualar weapons to the unlocks Someone running around with a L85A1 will be playing completely different to somone running around with the AK101. I just have to say i realy hope this isnt a new trend whats next you buy the next expansion and you get the new vehicals while everyone else gets the regular ones come on does that sound fair to you.

They do it because they want to make people pay for "leeter guns lol" sort of like how MMORPG freaks pay for light sabers and shiny armour or something.

Its wrong though how would you like it if they started to sell custom upgrades i.e. i could pay for explosive rounds for a tank that wouldnt be hard to add to the game just everytime you get in a tank you select the different ammo. It would proberly be even possible to stick a flame thrower on a tank instead of the mg. In the end it will be just the person who has the most money that will win which is nuts considering 99% of the things done in this game have been done because of balance issues .
