dice made a 1942 mod for bfv yes?

Also, if you are telling me that dice never made mods.. i already said that they didn't.

And dice makes more than expansions.

I've never said I disliked Bf2, and I was defending DC aganist attacks from people who dont know a thing about the game. Bf2 is fun, DC is fun, BF2 'borrowed' many ideas from DC, not saying how horribile whoever is responsable is, just pointing it out.
You also missed the strategically placed "may have" in my sentance regarding who's ripping off who, its a chance they might have taken a peek at DC and said, hey lets use these ideas, and its a chance they didn't.
If something isn't broken dont fix it sort of idea.

Indeed, being a bit of a pilot myself, if I hear lock, I check my six using the F-11/12 view, if there is no aircraft there i know excactly where every stingers on the map is, i just aim at everyone and look if i get the "come bomb me" box and strafe his ass out.

Because EA is all too happy to release a game with less content than it's predecessors and still charge you the same amount of money.

Hu.Z_of_PLA, what name did you use? That was about the length of time I was a tester.

                            I love doing that.
And to whoever said the vehicles were unbalanced, the SMAW/RPG are pretty good against vehicles, and when in city they are really prone to getting taken out by C4/Mines as well. The infantry combat was tons of fun though.
                            Favorite maps:
                            Oil Rig,
                            73 Eastings,
                            Oil Fields,
                            Basrah's Edge/Nights.
BF2 is definately not ripping off DC, BF2 is atleast 15 years after DC took place.

                              Re: Tribute to DC

what I really loved in DC was the way the helos were flown.
Like someone mentionned earlier, it took more than 5 minutes for a new player to fly 'em (I say "new" because I never was able to fly the bf2 choppers properly. more on that below...).
When you reduced the throttle, the chopper actually dropped like a stone. You could pull off some craazy stuff using that. I just hate the unresponsiveness of the helos in BF2, although I do love the infantry aspect of the game.
I read that desert conflict's helicopters WILL fly like in DC, so although it's not released yet, they've already got me amongst their fans!!
And yes, the stingers/SA7 really owned everything, even if they weren't guided. It's a game that's more played for fun than for a fake sense of realism.

But don't get me wrong, I love BF2! I'm just an ol'timer rambling on 'bout how it was better back in the days!

                                Oh yeah, I forgot something...
In DC, you could "feel" the weight of the chopper you flew!!
                                Great stuff!
