dude, it's old (old defined by amount of threads already made, not time since it was released), no need to make another goddam thread about it.
If you wanted to post some crap idea about why they did this, should have done it in the existing thread.
this is in regards to the call of duty post where everyone is going to shut down their servers if they dont get some kind of support. kind of odd for EA to post something like this.
That, and the identical thing to 2 or 3 existing threads is not enough to make your new thread worthwile, it should have been posted in the threads already made, not another one.
This is NOT something "odd", look at previous community updates on the EA bf2 page and you'll find:
i dont think you all are old enough to understand what i am saying. maybe i should act like you and just call everyone a noob, and get your facts straight before you go responding to threads. if you dont know what a person is talking about then dont respond to it.
Admins should ban flammers like you right off the bat. If most of your posts follow this big man, all answers attitude, like I said, bannage is necessary. You (along with big's revenge posts) have really ruined this thread, it posses a good topic that actual takes some effort to comment on. Shame on people like you.

All of which are doing the exact same thing as this new update. So get the facts right before spraying your pointless crap across the forums.
Ban, ban, people just like you too...... And I got something to say about your sig, 40 dollars (its 30 but we'll go with 40) is ****ing rediculous! This new expansion is a ****ing joke, the damn makers are sooooo ****ing arrogant they have the gul to ask us to buy something that has simply put a new skin around the old game for more than half the price of the original game. Hell they didn't even give us a whole new set of weapons for every faction! And fools jump into the hype and buy buy buy their ****ty product that any no-name modders can hammer to the ground as far as quality and material, and get this: THEY ARE WILLING TO GIVE IT TO YOU FOR FREE!!!!
The makers of BF2 are 10% game makers and 90% business men. Not that there is anything wrong with it, hell I love money. I just think its funny how gamers buy into it and then actual defend it. Ha ha ha ha, funny stuff. Way to go EA, way to dip into the gamer's pockets and use a pretty mask set over your original game to put smilies on their faces and air in their heads.

Wow, that was mean, I LOVE IT!
Yes, ban me for giving the first guy the truth about his misconceptions. He makes ANOTHER thread about the new patch stuff, then adds a couple of stupid and just plain wrong lines about EA being "Scared".
BTW that's $40 Australian (and it's probably around $30 if you go to a retail store), I have no idea what it costs elsewhere.
BTW, you are what my sig is about, people who don't have the exp pack, and are too cheap to buy it, but yet they will complain about something they are not supporting.
Not everyone is so cheap they won't buy the exp pack for the game that you've (this is YOU) have played for 260 hours, which is about 160 more hours than me.
I have no beef with people deciding NOT to buy it, but don't bitch, whine and complain about the expansion YOU HAVE NOT BOUGHT. Is it that hard to comprehend?
Where are the mods? That's right, non existant so far, except for minor tweaks.

Or an attempt to cover up a weak arguement. And this statement proves it, if you have to call yourself a grownup to consider yourself winning a debate.

no there isnt ya noob, go find them then and u sure are immature for being 19.
Heh, guess you do go around calling people noobs eh?
That aside, EA is more likely to sit on their fat butts even more than they do already rather than be afraid. It's things like this that fuel their ego, and I envision them sitting there thinking "Yeah, look how much our shallow game owned CoD2, hah! Guess that means people will see it and feel they got a good deal...so who's up for a vacation?" More promises as all patches have had, and chances are, they won't live up to the promises, just like everything else BF2 has been.

I wouldn't have even came here if you hadn't have spammed multiple threads about this particular issue. EA isn't scared, EA doesn't care. The patch won't do what it promises, the mod tools are probably in the same shape they were since about 2 weeks after they were released, but kept under wraps until SF brought in the money, and now they're fixing them so mods can't take the player base away from SF so soon. They'll get patched, we'll get an announcement for another expansion, the mod tools will be unheard of again until after the release. That's my prediction.
And no, I'm not stringing this out among other threads as it's nothing but a post count += 1 to do that, no purpose beyond that.
