To be sure we are on the same page...

You want the weapons name only (C4, Hand Grenade) in orange, and the other stuff ("lol", "Owned") messages in regular colors?

the pic you linked shows everything in brackets orange.

If you want everything in the brackets orange, then your string should look like this:
          Code:
          HUD_HUD_KILLEDBY_KILLS §0#PLAYERNAME1# [§C1001§1#WEAPON#§0§C1001] #PLAYERNAME2#
Remember that the killmessage for the variable #WEAPON# will be put in this string and any color code in the weapon's killmessage will get translated.

            HUD_TEXT_CHAT_SAY_TEAM Say Team:
            HUD_TEXT_CHAT_SAY_SQUAD Say Squad:

I just learned the hard way that if I edit those lines to make it bigger (so i can easily read what my team says), you get a nice frozen screen and the only way out of that is a hard reset / boot up.

btw, almost done with my files. but man, this is tiresome! i gain a new respect for you guys. its amazing you changed so much stuff.

Sorry if this has already been asked, i had a quite look through (skimmed) but couldnt see.

Is it possible to change the colour of text in sayall/sayteam/saysquad. BUT keep the AUDIO radio messages their default colour.

Would be nice to differentiate the radio messages from typed messages.

If you get what i mean

Not really possible. You could change the chat prefix though...

Is it possible to change the font that Battlefield uses in the Localization files, ENTIRELY?

The tutorial isn't 100% clear to me on this issue. I'd love to use a font other than the one we're given.

Also, to change the size of the message you recieve when you kill someone, what exactly do I change?

                    Thank you in advance.

This completely does not work. I replaced all the files in my files in \mods\bf2\Localization\English\ with your files, fired up an internet game of vanilla bf2, and saw 0 changes on any death messages. What gives?
