Yes, you just edit the dutch files instead of the english files. You won't be able to use Salad's English files as a base however, you would have to do it using the knowledge from his guide and apply it to the dutch files.

Since I reinstalled my game, it shows: " Button_GetServerList " for my update list button and it gets really annoying
    thx in advance
Yes, you can. All the menu and button text is editable. Open the English.utxt edit:with notepad , hit CTRL + F for the find feature, search for Button_getserverlist, and edit away. The default looks like this:

    Code:
     BUTTON_getserverlist UPDATE SERVER LIST

You may wante to search that for that text string in NOTEPAD and see if maybe you deleted one of those weird squares or changed any else around it.

[Edit] Or you may want to put your original file back in that folder to replace it. You did save it right? If not then you can tell a friend to send you their ".utxt" file.

Re: Having Fun with the Localization Files (v1.3)

Wow Ring, thanks for the help. I just posted replying to a few of these, without realizing there was a second page. When it loaded, you had already answered the questions.

          Thanks, =)

And Mystik, now that I know there's a demand for it, future versions will include a changelist. However, right now you'll just have to trust me that things were changed/fixed, =P

Hmm... I installed these localization files yesturday and I wasn't allowed to join a server because it only allowed players with "unmodified content". I thought it was the localization files causing it but I also installed 64-size maps for singleplayer too so I dunno.. which one might be causing it? Don't know why new maps for singleplayer would cause servers to boot you for unmodified content...

Thank you Salad. It's so much better with your files than any other. Probably the best modification I've seen is telling what someone was teamkilled with.

And all the things changed, seems the way it should have been by default, thanks alot.

Re: Having Fun with the Localization Files (v1.3)

                    ***UPDATED FOR 1.3 PATCH***

This is the forth release of these custom localization files, compatable with all versions of BF2 and SF thru 1.3 incuding booster packs. They are also completely PB safe. These files have been altered after being patched to 1.3 to ensure they include all new text.

Included is a new changelog, and a readme. Constructive feedback is welcome.

If you are not sure what this does, or would like to find out how to do it yourself, read this:

In short, it enhances/highlights your kill messages and team point events, votes... features more accurate weapon and vehicle names (NATO Reporting name when possible) ....etc. Changelog is below with a few example screenshots.

Special thanks and credits to SaladFork, for his guide, and Crowned for his help. The original idea belongs to elmerfudd .

Sweet! Installing now, It's great to also have these for SF now. The color combinations look good and I really like the addition of the NATO names.

                      Well Done and Thanks Ring!!

Just like it says, get that only if you own SF. Do you own SF? No, your friend does. Therefore your friend should get the SF package, you should not. Quite simple, =)
