What I think though, is that XBOX360 is tailored for a different market. That might not be the case anymore but its a guess. I mean, look at XBOX 1 - it was tailored for the action people, the online people and then later the modders. This system is now expanding to MMO's (god forbid FFXI but there's also Huxley sp?, and others) and tackling areas of Playstion dominance. This console has potential, but we'll see 1 year down the line.
PS3, it has a strong line up yes, but does it have the same backing power it had during the PS2 days? I'm sure it will have ALOT of games out - maybe we'll see a spiffy looking DDR? Who knows, but I have faith in sony and 3rd-party makers that they will bring out a damn good selection in games over the years.
I think this generation is gonna get very competative, seeing microsoft has gone on the full offensive and sony as the defender. Nintendo...I'm sorry but unless they got a ace or 3 under their sleeves....Comment

Haha, yeah, well I think that PS3 and Xbox360 both have great potential, and I'm sure they're both going to have great games, can't wait to see the sales of both after a few years!:p And Nintendo......I think there glory days are over, I believe there going to be the next SEGA....AKA, there gonna go down in history, their console is going to go down the tubes, there company will be begging for a job, and start making games for Sony/Microsoft, well....that's just a theory, but I think it's obvious that unless a miracle happens, Nintendo isn't going to go anywere if not down....:hmm: (though they do have an interesting idea of how the Revolution is going to work, it is a revolution however, on how there are planning to make the console, but I don't think it will succede in the years to come.)Comment

The 360 and the PS3 are now the juggernauts now and the revolution is trying to play but I don't think it's going to fair to well. I just want the console's to both be out and running at full force with games flowing. Both systems are going to have GREAT titles.

It's too damn early to tell what's better, the damn PS3 hasn't even come out. I will say this: the PS3 Controller is freakin' weird looking. Granted, Revolution's is different but i liek it, it's ambitious.Comment

But hey, atleast halo has competition now. Halo3 vs Killzone 2.. Killzone2 will look better.. if sony takes advantage of the specs. But i doubt it will have your ctf fun.

Yes the Revolution looks ambitious, but I don't think it will go over too well, and yes the PS3 controlers are wierd but hey, that's prob what you would say when you first saw the N64 controler, it's almost the same except that it only has 2 fangs:p (I'm sure they will make the new unofficial controlers like they did for Xbox), But we were just talking about what we think about the PS3, yes it is too early to tell what's better, but we know many things about the PS3, basic hardware specs, controler (I like it), Games (look awesome, and we know for a fact that there coming out with classic PS games, cause what's a PS system without the good games right?), and basic graphics, for example they had an interview with a Sony guy and he said the whole Killzone trailer was all ingame footage, so yes it is!Originally posted by Mosstrooper Revolution will deff. be something new, but new doesn't always mean "for the better"

The only thing good about the ps3 is it's processor and ram i believe right now.. and the only thing good about the xbox360 it's video card..

This console cycle is turning out pretty interesting so far because I cannot remember back during the last one is there was this much "finger pointing" and talkin s*** back and forth between the manufacturers (I could be wrong though seeing as I don't pay much attention to that part)
The bottom line is that we have some truly AMAZING pieces of technology at our fingertips and on the way out. Whether or not they are TRULY "next-gen" is a matter of opinion, because If I get to play games like COD2 and PGR3, MGS4, Killzone 2, Ghost Recon 3 amongst MANY others on a box that is just sitting infront of my TV and can get kind of a break from the constant $400 here, $250 there world of the PC than d*** it!!! SWEET!!!!!
Believe me, PC is the HANDS DOWN victor with FPS's and that's never going to change but man!, if you can't sit down and race through a coarse on PGR3 and can't say "WOW, that is ******* sweet!" then I don't know what to tell you.....

Well, IMO one of the great things about consoles is, all PS3's/Xbox360's have the same hardware (not X360 and PS3 but each PS3 and each X360) so if you have one of these consoles and you want to play online, no one can make an excuse like "my graphics are all skippy and stuff, that's why you could shoot me" because if you playing an online PS3/X360 game, theres going to be the same fps, same graphics, same everything for all online players, unlike computer where you have to keep upgrading it as new games come out, upgrades costing $500-$1000, as opposed to the PS3 and X360 and others, all games will be made for them specificly. The PS3 and X360 will be the main gamer consoles for many years to come, all the games will work like a charm even 4 years after the console came out, unlike computer where all new games require better and better computers! So that's a good thing about the consoles

Wow, i've said this 3 times today. You don't need to keep upgrading your pc! Just don't buy crap that won't last 2 years! 2 gigs of ram, 3.0 ghz and higher, and a nvidia 7800 512 will run you good for atleast the next 2 years. Possibly more.Comment

Well yeah, but my point is, not everyone wants to pay alot of money, and not alot of people have good computers and don't want to buy really good computers, (like me, I want a good computer but don't have the money!)
so if your like me and you don't have the money to buy something good that will last for a good 2-4 years (4.....maybe ) That's why I would buy something like a PS3 or X360 cause all the games will work! (and it will last for years to come)
P.S. I never said there was anything against getting a good computer!:|:Comment
