...so if you have one of these consoles and you want to play online, no one can make an excuse like "my graphics are all skippy and stuff, that's why you could shoot me" because if you playing an online PS3/X360 game, theres going to be the same fps, same graphics, same everything for all online players,...

another good point and Im sure most people with a little common sense will agree with you :)
You can't compare consoles to computers, it just doesn't work due to the different factors involved, however the PS3 is clearly going to be better than the Xbox360 in processing power and graphics, what consoles are really dertermined on is the games they have put on them, as i no quite alot of people brought a PS2 just to play GTA when it first came out rather than waiting for it to come out on xbox or pc, there are games that will boost the sales of a console although i still can't understand why people would buy a console to play FPS like halo as FPS's suck on consoles.
I can safely say the 360 has been worth every penny (for me) in that it is SO fun online, the online interface is TOP NOTCH and makes everything SO easy and I can sit down with my soon to be wife and both enjoy playing games (old or new) together and have alot of fun. The graphics on the games (this early on) are AWSOME!!! on my 50" Sony and I couldn't be happier.
I am FAR from a fanboy on any gaming front. I spent 2000 on my PC about 3 months ago and don't regret it.....im simply a gamer. The whole console war thing (for me) is fun to listen to and see go down with all the s*** talkin and everything but to a general purpose gamer, all these consoles are gonna rule in their own areas. We should all be GREATLY thankful that we have this kind of technology offered to us for our hobby.....its as simple as that.
I am really thankfull that both consoles weren't released at the same time because then the whole gaming community would have blown its load all at once and that would be it for all the hype and all that. Instead, we got all the hype and excitement for the 360 and now it continues for the PS3....
well i am gonna buy the xbox soon, i am in love with it !
i cant wait to play the new battlefield on it with many friends online
also i love Splinter cell Double agent, its gonna be awesome on the xbox 360, on the pc it sucks, the mercenarys are too good with mouse !
also i love race games online, so PGR 3 here i am come !
