they are even, exept the playstation3 has blue ray disk

wich CAN be handy for the future, but now dual layer disk are fine ( 9 GB )

games uses max 4 GB so

and xbox has eDram and a fine ATI 3d card ! with special shaders !

and i think the xbox is cheaper and has better online service but 60 Euro a year, thats ****

That is just not true. Dev has already come out and said the ps3 will be something like 20% more powerful than the xbox 360. Look at games like MGS4 and killzone. Nothing on xbox 360 doesn't even come close. The best looking xbox 360 game is COD2, which is just a PC port. Almost all teh good games coming to xbox 360 are just PC ports. I already have an awesome PC and don't want crappy ports on the xbox 360.

Look to the online service, price , we must wait until more info about PS3

Live is crap, look at COD2 online. Best xbox 360 game. The online part of the game is WAYYY worse than the pc version. AND you have to pay $10 more for the same game and pay extra to play online. That is some b/s.

That isn't going to be good for next-gen games. Some game for the xbox 360 are already using 2+ disc for their games. Also the xbox 360 lost GTA b/c rockstar said they will only bring GTA to a system with a next-gen disc drive. Rockstar was running out of room a dvd9. So you won't see a gta game on the xbox 360...that is a huge loss.

the edram is the biggest waste of space. Xbox 360 launch games could barely use 2x aa. Also they use a special shader that are unproven and don't seen to have the same power of current pc cards. Look at the ps3 GPu the RSX.

The RSX 28 percent more powerfull than the new 7800 gtx 512meg!! That is the best card out now for PC and it is better than that.

not sure about the better online service b/c the way COD2 and we know little about ps3 online. And i agree that live is very over-priced.


But anyways it really come down to which system will have the games you want. Xbox 360 just gets wayyy to many PC ports for me to get it. While the ps3 has great first-party that will come out with AAA titles again this gen.

The only thing good about the ps3 is it's processor and ram i believe right now.. and the only thing good about the xbox360 it's video card..

But with nvidia working on it's g80 architecture and new nvidia cards to be rolling out around q3? 2006... i think i might stick with it for the pc..

the ps3 rxs is 28% better than the new 7800 gtx 512mb. So when the ps3 is release in spring it will have a better gpu than anything on PC. I really don't see what is special about the xbox 360 gpu. Seems really underpowered.

Ati cards out now will out-perform the xbox 360 gpu.

it always amazes me that people will pay 2K for a nice pc and then watch the stuff its sends out on a pos 14" crt.. so im wondering while we are discussing these graphics how many of us will end up watching in SD....

would make an interesting poll.. might start one i think

HA! Neither do we 'cept for football (which is good) and a bunch of random HD channels but I can sit and watch Discovery HD for hours :P

Other then that, it's only been beneficial for my 360 (Which looks phenominal BTW)

That's not true. All the major networks (CBS, NBC, etc.) broadcast most if not all of their primetime shows in HD now. They actually have been doing so for years.

These broadcasts come in over the air and you need a good old-fashioned TV antennae (old-fashioned as in "concept") to receive it.

For example: Antennae @ Radio Shack

The problem is that people who spend thousands of dollars on an HD-Ready TV go with cable or satellite for their broadcast source and don't bother with the stuff coming in over the air for free, and hence usually have no clue as to what they are missing. :p

ps3, i dont know , i love online gaming, so i think xbox is better for me

and the hardware , we will see, Sony doesnt say anything about performance

its all rumours so , we will wait !

It truly is up to the game developers and how good they get at making use of the power both these consoles (will) have. As I said before, (I think in this thread) No matter what system or both we get....we're are gonna be playing some SICK A$$ games!!!

i heard that the xbox 360 game developing pack of Microsoft is very good and easy to use



and when you type in playstation 3 vs xbox 360

You get sites that says that the PS3 is better
and other xbox 360

i think in the end of the battle its about Marketing, Games , Online support and price and second hardware, ps3 has better CPU but xbox 360 has better GPU , thats what i know after reading 5 articles of playstation 3 vs xbox 360


and when PS3 wins the battle , i sell my xbox
