    That is not true.

BF2 is running perfectly on my rig but SF is not.

I run mine at Max but remember im running SLI. Before i installed BF2 i did a fresh format and loaded all the updated drivers for my system. 2 gigs of ram made a huge differance from 1 gig. i think someone said that BF2 use's 850mg of ram when running. The only issue i have is that i should be loading maps very fast but im not and i found out that one of my drives is haveing issues but that will be fixed by weeks end. Special force's works greta and never had a issues.

Well I typed up a really long reply but when I posted it The page screwed up and I lost it. BS Anyway in short I could not play above 800 X 600 in med. My system is pretty current. Turns out my MB bios had a bug with running DDR correct and was fixed on a revision. Updated the bios and wam 1280 X 1024 X 60H Med res (Some High) 4XAA and average of 55+ FPS

        Updateing your BIOS = Priceless

i was being funny....Some people seem to get the game to run fine, and others dont. the people who cant get this game to run have overlooked somthing or forgot to do this or that. i believe this game is not only fine. but one of the best games ever.
I have only had 1 glitch ever, the c4 lag. if you have a good comp and a fast connection you should not have problems other then getting pwn3d.

I'm going to save everyone here some trouble and say:

It's the game, not your system. Just hope for it to be patched. Probably another memory leak or some crap.

Re: Good rig, still having problems?

Yeah, the game lags like crazy on some maps for me. Lots of spikes that make me do 360's or walk into walls, heh. I hate when it happens during the most important moments too!

BF2 runs flawlessly and even SF ran good for the first day. I think the problem may be with some servers because it didn't get like this until the huge flood of people came. Who knows.

Re: Good rig, still having problems?

Not saying this will fix it for everyone, but most of us in the Admin Group have went to these and have seen a significant improvement..

sat up one night testing different drivers with Special Forces..

                  1024x768 2xAA

when I first tested the 81.94/81.95 I got this..

                  http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...wa/patched.jpg

46 fps and a really washed out dark pic..

so I started counting back in drivers..

                  85's and so forth..

then I got to the 77.72's

                  and got this..

                  http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ewa/7772-3.jpg

99 fps and a really bright nice pic

so I fired up the game and started taking screen shots...

                  Mass Destruction flying the Hind..

                  http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v402/ojibewa/7772.jpg

84 fps and no stutter at all...

here are a few other screen shots.. think I will stick with these drivers

                  http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ewa/7772-1.jpg

                  http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4.../oilfields.jpg

                  http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4.../screen020.jpg

134.4 fps and really nice performance..
