To enjoy bf2. one must have 3 or 4 gigs of ram. a x1800xt 512mb. and a amd x2 4600+ if you love this game as much as i do. save your money and build what you really need.
I run mine at Max but remember im running SLI. Before i installed BF2 i did a fresh format and loaded all the updated drivers for my system. 2 gigs of ram made a huge differance from 1 gig. i think someone said that BF2 use's 850mg of ram when running. The only issue i have is that i should be loading maps very fast but im not and i found out that one of my drives is haveing issues but that will be fixed by weeks end. Special force's works greta and never had a issues.
Well I typed up a really long reply but when I posted it The page screwed up and I lost it. BS Anyway in short I could not play above 800 X 600 in med. My system is pretty current. Turns out my MB bios had a bug with running DDR correct and was fixed on a revision. Updated the bios and wam 1280 X 1024 X 60H Med res (Some High) 4XAA and average of 55+ FPS
i was being funny....Some people seem to get the game to run fine, and others dont. the people who cant get this game to run have overlooked somthing or forgot to do this or that. i believe this game is not only fine. but one of the best games ever.
I have only had 1 glitch ever, the c4 lag. if you have a good comp and a fast connection you should not have problems other then getting pwn3d.
Yeah, the game lags like crazy on some maps for me. Lots of spikes that make me do 360's or walk into walls, heh. I hate when it happens during the most important moments too!
BF2 runs flawlessly and even SF ran good for the first day. I think the problem may be with some servers because it didn't get like this until the huge flood of people came. Who knows.
