Let them flashbang or whatever they can do...but nothing will save them from good old AK.
Personaly I use unloacks only if I'm playing for USMC witch is very rare (because "stock" US weapons are good for nothing<insert flame here>).

You can play Stock BF2 maps on a SF server, but ive only been playing SF maps (iron gator is better than karkand) so I wouldnt know.

I've just come from a server (no it wasn't an EA server on Karkand). The flashbangs do effect play majorly. The kit has 4 flash bangs, where the stock assault only gets one smoke gernade. I could handle the idea of giving these guys guns that were playable in either vanilla or SF but the flash bangs are just plain stupid. I don't have SF and have no intentions of getting it. This is poor marketing in my books.

I don't know if I'm more outraged or disgusted.

No one has tried switching kits with one of them to see if we can use the SF stuff ? Seems to me that if they're going to make the in-game weapon models viewable on the soldiers before we kill them, it makes sense to have the first-person models as well... which kind of suggests we could pick the **** up. Otherwise, it's bs...

Yes, you can pick up an SF kit and use it, even if you do not own SF. You just can't start with one. So if you can see through and survive all the flash bangs and then manage to kill the guy with the SF scoped (and quite accurate) weapon, you can check it out. I have a friend that has SF so he showed me all of the unlocks available to him. This blows. Good thing I still have BF1942 installed.

indeed, it was 280Mb of buy the expansion or get a disadvantage in the game:evil:

and it also contains wake island, because you would only need to install this patch in a fresh install

This is a healthy and enlightened opinion...

The new unlocks are no more uber that the existing ones. They are just new and all shiny. Flashbangs are fun but i can see them getting old fast if over used...

And I don't own BF2:SF...

what are you going to do with your AK, when you are blinded from a flash bang ?? if you get flashed they can just stab you with the knife,even ifyou had 50 AK's

Pay to play baby. Your not willing to ante up, why should EA play hopsotch with you? I have the normal edition of NFS : MW and I see a bunch of peeps on LIVE who think they're hot **** because they have Edition Black and get a Tricked Out BMW M3 GTR from the get go. Then I own their nOOb ass with my Lotus Elise!

God forbid you might have to elevate your game because EA decided to make people willing to pay more potent in game!

Twice I picked up the new spec ops gun (F2000 i think) and it's very accurate and only took a burst of .5 seconds for me to take someone down...about 6 or so times.

Anyways, since this new patch, I have been getting decreased FPS. If you look at my sig, my rig is pretty well equipped and I can tell you I have everything on high except AA on 4x and every map blazes almost all the time except for Karkand on 64 player servers.

I don't have a problem with the SF weapons being implemented, because I'll just pick them up, but implementing a "Decrease your FPS feature" is not acceptable ha!

Hope this gets sorted out. Down with lag.

This is AWESOME! HAHAHA! Do you guys know what this means for mods? It means that at least a good portion of all the new stuff you get in BF2 normal now! HAHAHA EA is dumber than ****, helping out thier obviously sworn enemies, free mods. You can seriously just give yourself sf weapons in normal bf2?

you can get the grapple hook and ... crosbow thingy though, and flash bangs... which means the mods don't have to invent these things! BWAHAHA this is freakin insane!
