what is it about vehicles that people get so ****ed about? You shouldn't feel free to run around on the ground in front of a tank, or in a vehicle with planes in the air and not be worried about them killing you.

They should be feared, and avoided. People get ****ed at being bombed repeatedly, but they are the ones that keep getting into vehicles or stingers.

The same with tanks, they run right at them throwing C4 expecting to kill them with 1 block, but get ****ed that they get killed. And people complain about it taking more than 1 AT missle to destroy a tank.

These vehicles should be terrorizing to the enemy ground forces, that's what your tanks/aircraft are for. It's not the other team's fault they have pilots and you don't.

stop ****ing whining about it. Here's a few tips:

When the enemy has a good pilot, STAY OUT OF VEHICLES/STINGERS.

When you are on foot and see an enemy tank. Spot it out and take cover. Let your armor take care of it. And if the can't, well sorry. Your SOL my friend. This is ****ing war, not an organized sport.

What is it lately with people constantly whining about this game. If you don't like it, go back to Counter Strike and leave the big boy's game to us.

Maybe a solution to jets is to deduct more points for a plane loss.

I assume at the moment if the pilot dies hes is not punished for losing a 100 million dollar plane. The killer could also be greatly rewarded.

PLus They should improve AA just a bit. At the moment its useless unless a friendly plane is around then you are sure the missile will hit home with a TK.

But planes should stay.

If you don't like the jets then go play CS. The vehicles are what make Battlefield, well, Battlefield. I think it is highly unlikely that the jets will be removed. I wouldn't be surprised if more were added in a future expansion pack!!!

Jets wont be removed, you just have to live with them. They can be annoying yes, especially when you encounter those people that are true jet whores, you know the kind i mean, the people that just only fly jets, and kill their own teammates to get a jet. Improving the AA is the only thing I can think of, and maybe making it so the sounds on the jets are louder. What I mean is, I find the most annoying thing in the world is to suddenly hear a jet fly over and now I am dead because it bombed me. It's a jet! Know how loud those things are? They aren't going faster than the speed of sound in this game so, might be nice to really hear it coming so you might have a slim chance of running away. Oh, for those people that are going to flame me, I have good speakers, but when a jet is flying right at you, you hear it just as it flies over, and look, theres 5 1000lbs bombs landing on you lol

You've got to be kidding me. That logic is completely backwards. Jets pilots should be the one fearing AA operators, not the other way around. And what kind of an option is not using your vehicles? If you don't use them, then your enemy steals them and you're even more ******. Tanks are balanced fine. Choppers may be a bit overpowered due to the heinous strength of TV missiles, but for the most part, they're fine. Jets, on the other hand, are grossly overpowered, and they need a big nerfing in a future patch, that or AA needs to improve drastically. I think jets would be better balanced if they didn't have bombing indicators at all. That way they wouldn't be able to kill AA emplacements before they knew what hit them. Or they could give the Essex AA emplacements radar so they can see planes coming. But really, the jet's most powerful asset is that it's nearly impossible to hit. Missiles have a hard enough time tracking choppers, but the chance of hitting a plane at full speed is slim-to-none. And the travel time of munition-based AA (cannons on AA vehicles and the Essex vulcan cannons) is too slow to be used effectively against planes.

EDIT: Oh yeah, the AA vehicles need radar too.

After reading all the posts in the thread. Some guy mentioned the advantage modern technology gives aircraft IRL. What technology magically distinguishes between manned AA and unmanned AA? The rock-paper-scissors analogy is dumb too, as the most (or only) effective and reliable counter to a plane is what? Another plane!

not a verry fair poll, either way its implementing that jets suck and is not rlly asking for the puplics opinion.

i personally am just starting to learn how to fly a jet, i can hit 9/10 times with the fighter on a bomb run.

however the thing that scares me the most is a enimie jet behind me with the cannons, there WAY underrated. there strong enouf to kill a tank if used right

How can being a good pilot not require skill? Can everybody do a direct hit on a tank with the fighter bombs and kill it at once? Not quite, can anybody shoot down another plane, with these AA missiles, not quite. If some plane whore is raping you, get in air and shoot him down, if you can't then he is good enough to rape you.

i have to say that i personally dont like jets, but thats probaly just becasue i cant fly them, i deisagree with the no skill part ive tried several times to fly and cant fly for my life. as well as jets need to be inclouded in the game

Well you obviously have a huge bias against planes just the way you worded this lame a$$ poll X. I am not a pilot, mostly becasue it takes some time to get skills flying, and i would rather spend my time getting skills shooting them down fromt the land. I also feel that if i want to play a fps without planes and tanks i would just play CSS. i think that peps who Cry about overpower planes, obviously dont have the skills to hide or shoot them down. learn to be crafty mate, there are many ways to counter the air power. I dont fly and i hate getting killed by planes but i can tell you this game would suck if they were removed. I even feel that we should have battleships and cruzers to bomb the Sh!t out of you from the far ocean also.
