BF2 would be a better game without such bad players, you enter a server shoot a pilot down three times he either leaves the server or starts doing something else.

This leaves his / her team in a position where they are not even contesting the battle for the skies.

I wouldnt mind at all if jets were removed, they DEFINITELY need to be dumbed down, or easier to kill (the AA kit people suggest may help, as well as AA with better tracking). Dogfighting is hardly impressive in this game either, it usually turns into a game of 'who can turn tighter circles, or get bored first'
I am not a jet noob either, call me what you will (modest bastard etc) I have never come across a jet pilot that would consider 'better' than myself, i have never been beaten by a pilot (killed more times in a round) than i have killed them. I'm sure better people exist but I have not played against them.
As for bombing, its far too easy with the bomber - the bombs need to be made less destructive so that there is more skill to it (maybe only one bomb can be dropped every 5 seconds?) or the reload needs to be much slower (maybe 1 bomb per pass) (i.e you have to land)

nah, I think it would still be ok even with the jets in the game.

Jets in BF2 completely and totally suck. Anyone that says different is most likely a jet-whore (and point-whore) who loves playing in a "legal" god-mode. Ground pounders got no viable way to shoot 'em down.

In the real world there's plenty of ways to take down jets with some good SAM's or decent AA, but in BF2 both of those are totally useless. Everything else in BF2 is balanced pretty damn well. I'm really surprised that jets are allowed such an advantage. O well, ain't nothing perfect, but this topic has been around since BF2 day one, so it's kinda disappointing that EA don't fix the issue.

Well I'm a jet whore and I have met pilots better than me, but if I'm on the opposing team they'll maybe shoot me down 5 times but that's pretty much all they get. The biggest problem is players are not willing to engage another fighter as either they lose too much or can't be arsed.

I mainly play 32 player and not afraid of going on the ground, not a points whore I only care about winning the round.

Easy to fix, remove bomber HUD for manned stingers and make it so fighters can only take one AA missle.
