I don't run around C4ing everything, I enjoy being a so called ground pounder. I tend to ignore the jets, and don't have a problem with them, and definitely don't think aerial assualt needs to be removed.

My point is the harder you work for a point, the more it should be worth. To be honest, I'm not really concerned about stats, I'm not really concerned about a change in the score system. I just don't think EA should make out it's balanced. When it comes down to it though, when I get home at 7.30 at night after a hard days work. I don't wanna be swearing at the PC, I wanna be having some fun and winding down.

What irks me more than jets is getting shot when Im crawling through the grass looking around and no one is to be seen, but I put that down to being tired or whatever, and no, i'm not suggesting that needs to be fixed, If I can be seen i'm of course fair game, just saying that it ****es me off to no end.

What I do need (Yes I know im behind the times) Is a DVD burner, because I don't think the 7gb left on my hdd helps anyone in terms of performance, so I'm off to buy one now.

Removing jets on the other hand is just like saying turn BF2 into CS, if you dont like what BF2 is about nobody is preventing you to go back to CS.

If a jet managed to kill 5 people capping a flag, its those 5 people's falult. Jets cant see infantry on foot, if you all decided to stand together in the open, you are giving anyone that sees you 5 free kills, a tank can kil you all, a chopper can, even a buggy can run you all over at the same time.

People also have to remember this is MODERN combat, there are better technology than 1942, not everyone want to turn BF2 into BF1942 with modern models, just as you have AUTOMATIC rifles, C4s, and all those little modern equipment in kits and land vehciles, airpower will also have those technology, you just have to live with it like you live with that skilled person who killed you 10times in a roll with AK101.
Yes ofcourse it's MODERN COMBAT and like real MODERN COMBAT you have to stand out in the open and cap a flag with a 5 meter capping radius!! SHEESH!!

I work just as hard for my points as anyone else, I make a habit of shooting down other jets when I see them and work damn hard at making sure I don't tk my guys when I drop bombs. Not everyone drops bombs with flagrant disregard for their teammates.

The grass won't cover you, if you walk backwards away from that spot, you will see the grass disappear. Use trees and rock piles for cover, items like that, the things that won't disappear out in the distance.

And this is coming from a guy who only has 4 hours total with 150 kills and 110 deaths in flying aircrafts in BF2.

Perhaps he got bored with how easy it all was...

Seriously, jets are part of the modern battlefield thus they are in the game. Yes if they kill you on the ground it is not very easy to go find them and take revenge. But nor can they win the game on their own. All they can do is blow stuff up that is out in the open. I get killed by small arms, grenades, tanks, APCs and arty far more often than aircraft.

Actually, he las less than 3 hours, and only 115 kills. Also, out of 2000+ vehicle kills, he has over half of them from... guess what...armor! He is a tank noob, don't listen to him complain about jets.

I think every vehicle in this game is well balanced, useful, and fits, except the god damn jets. What do y'all think?
I think it is great you posted the post as you did and got just what you deserve. It's baised against anyone who's for jets or anyone that does not care whether there are jets or not. Even so, it's still 60% for us non whiners. You can bet we'd have more vote, if this poll was actually objective.

Re: Would BF2 be a better game without jets?

Dude your lucky they didn't give the jets and helos the power they have in real life. Jets for one can handle multiple targets, so those lock on missiles in game think about them targeting you and 3 or 4 others as well, and not only targets in the air but on the ground, thats right those missiles can hit ground targets on the ground to. The bombs well lets just say no more timing them except if you got to far ahead of the target but basically launch them and they will do the trick, in real life of course. Do you think that a bomb falling within 30 feet of you wouldn't kill you in real life? Uh yeah well in BF2, you live. Very understandable that you've probally be base raped. Most pilots go for the main bases in the game, even if theres flags being taken. Artilary forget launching that on a grey base they will launch it on the one or two people at the main base, or you who is moving solo out in the middle of no where. I am sure they just waste artillary like that in real life, haha. I think there should be a spawn protection to stop the arty from hitting you when you've just spawned. The helicopters wow did they make them weak in this game, yeah a tank will die. Do you realize how easy a helicopter could take out 30 or 40 people especially the apache and super cobra they have heat seeking auto targeting system for the gunner seat. The missiles well for the super cobra sucks, you have to like directly hit someone with them to kill them, and the diving is kind of lame you could circle around something and have your nose pointed straight at the ground that'd be more realistic. Anyway I don't think the game would be better without planes, and I am not a plane whore.

i think before people worry about jets they need to worry about the 50 cal sniper rifle which is extremely weak any way jets have shoot and forget targeting and most jets today track over 7 targets at any time this isnt only for air target but for ground targets air power needs to be more powerful and to equalize the power of planes with scud missles look at the stats fo the f18:F/A-18C/D can carry up to 13,700 pounds of external ordnance.
Weapon stations include: two wingtip stations for Sidewinders; two outboard wing stations for air-to-air or air-to-ground weapons; two inboard wing stations for fuel tanks, air-to-air, or air-to-ground weapons; two nacelle fuselage stations for AMRAAMs, Sparrows, or sensor pods; and one centerline station for fuel or air-to-ground weapons.

I hate jets.....coz my flying skill sux..
                              I can't fly a jet w/ my keyboard...or a pilot a chopper well w/ the arrow keys..
Is just PITA to to do it on keyboard, (Joystick...I will buy it in christmas, but no time for now)

                              And basically, ALL AA SUX
The one mounted on the carrier is slightly better, but not much...
I never seen/have the chance to see any SAM sites or AA vechicles shot down a JET, a chopper, yes. Appache, yes. But not J10, F35, MIG...

in real life aa is hard to use the problem is ppl shot at the jet and expect it to hit it HELL NO you have to wait for the exact moment to shoot anyway ive said it b4 this game needs SAMs or some other anti air that tracks at longer distances
