I don't agree with taking them out of the game....just remove the Noob Targeting Bombing Boxes that they have showing them where every enemy occupied vehicle is and make the pilots use their brain a little bit.

They can keep the Air to Air boxes.

See, this would be very plausible and actually a fun implementation if it werent for the DRAW DISTANCE! The draw distance makes it so that you don't see the tank until you are about to crash. In Wake Island this happens a lot.

Also I have all my settings on high with 100% Draw distance so it is not my rig. It is just the coding. You SHOULD be able to see straight across Wake Island on a bright sunny day like that.

But increasing draw distance would require more resources of processor and memory. This game is already taxed with regards to video quality, network latency, and shot-to-target stability. Yes, if the draw distance, map, and targeting systems were improved then this would be a great product and no one would complain about it. Nonetheless, this product is almost 6 months old and none of those things have been fixed.

This thread makes me so mad, I hate reading about people complaining about jets. Every deragotory word about jets makes me cringe. I am getting a splitting headache from reading every post of this thread. Why do I do this to myself...it hurts so bad AAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWW...Special Forces sucks...........Is it out yet? This sour milk tastes really bad....here taste. I spelled derogatory wrong...AAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWW!!!!

Now that is funny, considering you can't be sneaky in this game when you have a commander that can just run a scan and point you out, or have him drop a UAV at your flag at the click of a mouse

Maybe I think people running around chucking C4 on everything is noobish and deserves to have a bomb dropped on their noogie. But you won't hear me bitch about it, I play on the ground pounder maps and do the best I can with the **** I got, thank god for the DAO and the spud launcher. If you can't learn to adapt to the aspects of the game, you're only going to find yourself left behind as others progress, and I don't mean that sarcastically.

Keep jets, Simple : Rock, Paper, Scissors, you notice that they'd be more tanks rolling onto spawns and capping them as you hide fearfully behind a box.

The OP is probbaly a little tank noob who gets bombed by jets all the time. Jets take the most skill of any vehicle by far, and good pilots are rare. BF2 would not be nearly as fun without planes. This poll sucks.

The fact that this game has all four types of (whatever I can't find the proper word for it) is what makes it so great!!! Wheels, boats, jets and feet... Being a good pilot takes a lot of practice and not getting killed by a jet takes almost no practice at all... You do the math!!!
