Whats so hard to understand? Remember EA/Dice the guys who take your money? They have now turned into Arms dealers, Get it! So If the noobs get a better weapon well guess what EA will sell you one too. Then what? The noobs buy a better bomb, So you buy one from EA. So on and so on...

With EA, Its the price you pay to play.

The don't assue that everyone is going to buy it. If they did then they wouldn't have brought out the 1.12 patch at all. The patch is for those that don't want to buy SF but want to continue playing BF2.

About half of the US and EA ranked EA servers are SF servers while the other half are normal BF2 with 1.12 patch.

Yeah. And what's more I think it's a pretty good way too!

Folks, the only other choice was to spilt the BF2 community into 2. BF2 servers and SF servers and one type of players never playing with the other. This IMHO would be the death of the game. Now if your mates get SF and you don't well you can still play BF2 with them as long as it's not on a SF server.

And once you own SF and get the SF unlocks, you can not access the standard unlocks.

I can handle the weapons add on, but the flash bangs are ridiculous. It's going to be counter strike all over again with some tard flashing his entire squad again and again.

I appreciate that, but what I don't agree with, is that vanilla BF2 owners (who won't be buying the SF expansion) have the outlines of weapons that DONT EXIST, unless you buy BF2 SF.

After reading previous posts, and not having time to get on a server to check myself, I'm VERY confused. I assume standard BF2 owners and SF owners can't play on the SAME server ?!?! Or is it a case that SF owners can use their SF unlocks on standard BF2 servers?????

Oh god, on karkand the big initial run and grab for the vehicles is going to be a smacktard fest with noobs flashbanging their own team to grab the vehicles....I want my BF2 back.

And another thing, why if I'm downloading BF2 SF, do I have to wait 3 more days than the yanks do...

So let me get this right they are mixing the servers together so that SF players can play with people with normal BF2, but the players with BF2 can't get the guns on SF.
Surly if you pick up the SF kit you will get the gun.

I don't believe that SF guns are more superior to the guns available in BF2, it just provides more alternatives to the SF owners, not an advantage. I personally do not really value or hold these SF weapons with high prestiege, they're just more unlocked guns. Hell, I don't use 4 of my 6 unlocked weapons in BF2.

Yes, you can use SF weapons in vanilla BF2 servers (if you buy SF and unloc them, not if you don't buy SF), I have been flashbanged many times already. Yes when you kill someone with a SF unlock you can pick it up even if you do not have SF. There's 8 maps, not five.

The SF medic and spec ops unlock are more accurate (and it seems cause more damage), haven't used the supports much, there is no new sniper unlock.

Does anyone with the new patch also notice the hitboxs seem different? Maybe it's because I am thinking to much of what I am playing exploring new maps and what not, but I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with a MOAB yesterday.

I've got SF and have all SF unlocks. I just left a server running the new patch. There was a guy in there throwing flash bangs I was like WTF as I have SF yet I don't have flash bangs in my aresenal or any other of the other unlocks. What's the deal ?

Like i just posted earlier, i picked up an assault kit and it had a flashbang in it, and i flashbanged my whole team on accident.

The flashbangs only throw about 30 meters, which is really short compared to a grenade. So half my team was blind.
