1) do u have the new patch installed
2) do you have the sf weapons unlocked?
3) you're playing a bf2 vanilla map

I am version 1.12 with OUT SF installed (dont own it)

Problem: Will Non SF BF players be able to use the SF guns since we downloaded the patch with all the gun info in it?

Answer: Obviously not, they show up but no matter how much i click to bring it into my selected kit box, it wont. It just rotates between the default BF2 gun and the original BF2 unlock.

So regular BF2 owners have to download the patch, and dont get to use the new weapons....unless im missing something huge.

Duh, the point is BUY THE GAME to get the content. Otherwise they wouldnt be selling many copies dumbass.

i think u will only be able to use them once u unlock them after gaining another rank, i dunno if u remember but before u unlocked a normal unlock u could not even press the swich to unlock button.

(i think i never said so many times the "unlock" word in a sentence :hmm: )

Yes you are.

In order to use the SF weapons you have to buy SF.

The patch is to allow SF players play on BF2 servers and not the other way around. It was never going to add SF features to BF2 otherwise why buy SF ?

This has been a clouded subject that many people have wondered about, and i was just clearing the air.

The fact is.....people are paying 30$ for an edge over the regular game owners and its a bunch of ********.

Noone with a M16 will be a match for someone with a SCAR or someone with Teargas/Flashbangs.

Vanilla BF2 owners are fuxxored.

How is it a clouded subject? So by your logic tey release the content in 2 ways - 1.for free, 2.for a charge. I think most people know which way they'd go.

If you own SF, yes.

If you only have BF2, no.
