Well vanilla BF2 owners CAN pick up the SF kits that are laying on the ground after a SF owner dies.

I found one with the FN2000 or whatever and i pwned half my own team on accident with a flashbang.

Geez..what servers are YOU guys playing on? I have YET to see a SF weapon on a vanilla BF2 map.

I have just come off a BF2 server where there where people using SF weapons, I myself picked up a kit that had flashbang init, I only own BF2 atm and have a high rank and over 68k global points (ignore my first sig its not updating click the url to see my stats) so have all the BF2 unlocks, but I can not unlock the new SF weapons so as said I think you have to own SF and have the BF2 unlocks to unlock the new weapons, so until you own SF etc and you join a BF2 server yes the SF owners have the advantage with the new weapons.

Is it really an advantage, I mean, I have all but on unlock, after a while, I went back to the M16 or Ak, they are the best guns on there, in my opinion...

I'm not too happy with downloading 280 mb for a few pics of guns that I can't have...just so I can continue playing a game I only bought a few months ago.

And once you own SF and get the SF unlocks, you can not access the standard unlocks.

I can handle the weapons add on, but the flash bangs are ridiculous. It's going to be counter strike all over again with some tard flashing his entire squad again and again.

Well, first you have to download patch 1.12, then i played on karkand, killed a guy with G36E, picked it up, not too good, bt better than M16 (still has burst fire though).

You can not unlock the new weapons if u don't have SF.

Since SF owners can unlock the guns and use them on ordinary BF2 maps also, the gun models &sounds had to be added to the new patch so the "game knows what to show" if u happen to pick up a kit with the new unlock on the field.

The fact that the little white pic in the gun selection dialog shows SCAR though it should show G36 is either a bug or maybe the SCAR pic is there just to represent an unlock in general (or to remind you that u could be using it if u bought SF).

You phrased your title badly. We are not "screwed". We've had something confirmed. You don't get to play with SF toys unless you pay for it.

As far as I know, it's not yet been confirmed if you can play with flashbangs, zip lines, or any other SF toy on stock BF2 servers.

The sky is NOT falling.
