HEY HEY!!! CALM DOWN EVERYONE the weapons are in regular BF2, the thing is that u need to unlock the 1st set of unlocks first ok?

OK back on topic... the changelog says this:

In anticipation of the upcoming expansion pack, Battlefield 2 Special Forces, DICE has revealed the new unlocks for the game. Take note, in order to unlock these, you must first have unlocked the base Battlefield 2 weapons for that kit (for example: to be get the F2000 the user must first unlock the G3).

doesnt say there the unlocks are ONLY for the expansion does it??? and they call it unlocks for the game NOT unlocks for the expansion.

when u ppl arent certain what u are talkin about maybe u should not sound so certain.

So they're forcing us to pay in order to unlock weapons and use the grappling hook/zipline? When you think about it, this isn't surprising, considering EA is involved. What's worse, as stated previously, is that on the patch info page, the grappling hook and zipline appear to be available to those without SF. Good job EA, you know how to suck every dime out of your customers.

Panda, you dont see yourself being hypocritical? First you say you're paying for grapling hook and zipline and then you say its avaible in Bf2?
Dont buy SF then jeez.

Its like 5 new maps too. Not to mention new vehicles did u forget about those?

I didn't say I was paying for the grappling hook and zipline. I didn't say I was buying SF. I didn't say they were available to players without SF. I stated that the information on the patch page is deceiving, leading one to believe that they are. Modders and mappers have been pumping out new material at no cost to the player. EA could have chosen to do the same, I'm sure, since they're publishing (and ultimately have the final say in all of this).

PRESUMING the new unlocks displayed in vanilla BF2 are for BF2+SF only:

I tend to think that EA are a bit naughty releasing a patch for vanilla BF2 that assumes EVERY SINGLE PERSON will be buying the expansion pack. It's basically deceit. Not sure about the legality of it either.

I'll be buying the SF expansion anyway (European), but if I wasn't, i would remain a bit pi**ed off that they've implemented the SF unlocks this way.
