To all those who complain about The No Swearing rule should grow up...

I would kick and even ban if warning are ignored on the swearing rule.
and that will include BS, WTF, N00B, Noobed and so on...

Yes its a game where you shoot people.

but I will let you know that its a game that works better with teamwork AND GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP

I do not want to play with freaking whiny children that complain all the times they get killed...

No swearing is not a dumb rule, it is only to create a different ambiance... and Ill tell you right now, servers that apply that rule will have more adults playing and more teamwork and good sportsmanship then those where uneducated kids run wild whining their ass off anytime they get killed or swear all the time for lack of reasons...

Yeah cause a Good "You punished for running over my mine sir...I bid the good day" Is alot more harsh and appropriate then "WFT you Noob".

O and BTW it takes practice to curse eligently and if the little kids don't get to practice on your server how will they ever grow up to fit into the industries they are destine to go, Military, Grabage man, mafia hitman, Sailor....

Only Spec forces in red circles
No straffing the runway
No camping at uncappable flags (what ever that means)

They sound like good rules to me! I hate it when the commander artys an uncappable base especially when he can arty somewhere else.

Not being able to attack the carrier, it the stupidest rule ever, i can under stand not being allowed to artillery strike it but attack it is just stupid as you have 2 massive guns on the ends and the commander assests are on it anyway.

Most of the "silly" rules mentioned above sound like legit rules. They make the gaming experience on those servers much better.

Noob isn't a swear word. It's the equivalent of calling someone dork or jerk. If you consider that "strong language" or swearing, you are way too conservative for this gaming genre. And if you are making your server publicly available, that means everyone can get on it. Here is some information that may seem shocking. If you are checking a server browser, what is one of the most driving factors to get a person to connect?

Ping.

If you see a server with ping less than 100, you will most likely connect to it. That means that both sides are at the mercy of the gameplay of the other. A public server that has rules about no swearing may get flak from a player. A player may be subjected to rules other than language. In either case, the one side that is most responsible for the content of the server are the admins/hosts. If you don't want people trashtalking your server, make it private and dole out passwords to trusted players. Unless your server's name has "No swearing" in it, you're asking for trouble.

The above argument can be applied to all rules for a server, so good luck making a server called "No swearing, TK punishing, camping, whoring, bunnyhopping, or killng".

My clan and I used to curse up a storm and we had both good sportsmanship and good teamwork. Sorry, but those things are not related in any way.

Here's my challenge to you language cops: What is the difference between "sh*t" and "human feces"? Can you tell me the difference? Is the first a horrible substance that cannot be mentioned, while the second is natural and nice?

How does my choice of LETTERS really matter? It doesn't. And if I mean both of them equally negatively, do you really think the presentation of the idea is the truly offensive part?

I think you oughta be the ones growing up. It's time to pull your heads out of your "rectums" (see, it sounds SO much nicer) and realize that the problem isn't the words, it's the intent. And you can't create a filter for idiots - you have to weed them out one by one, case by case. You've probably banned some really great players because they said "sh1t" after getting killed. Your loss.

But what's worse is that you're ignorant enough to think that you're doing a good job of weeding out the trash, when instead you're just making yourself look like a big hypocrite with virgin ears and very thin skin.

I have a higher standard for using my brain instead of relying on broad, ignorant, inflexible rules that reek of lazy personal morals instead of a genuine interest in "good game experience".

There are thousands of servers and millions of people playing this game. There should be a server that fits anyone's taste. So if there is a server which you do not like its rule then rule it out from your list.

Personaly, I like servers that say :
-watch your language
-no prone hopping
-no uncappable spawn camping


I do not like the servers that say:
-no c4 on the flag
-no camping at all
-stealing vehicles not allowed.

That is just my opinion. obviously others like different rules.

I hate it when the admin of the server behaves as if he has the upper hand for "allowing" us to play on his server. Its the people who make the game, not the server itself. But those admins have the right to make the rules... and the people have the right to know the rules. it does not make sense to kick someone because he was bunny hopping if you are not stating it clearly that bunny hopping is not allowed, for example.
