I`ve got a friend who worked on testing early the BF2, and he says that the Vulcan cannons on the Essex were the most powerful thing in the game, and thusley game developers nerfed it. Now it is a pitiful weapon that cant do jack.
Should they've left the carrier weapon's system stronger, or they were right to nerf it?
Essex guns should definitely be stronger ... geez a Blackhawk's gatling gun is more powerful than this weapon.
If you (Essex) and a jet decide to go at it, you should be able to rip that jet out of the sky with the Essex [and yes I know how to hit the aircraft with the cannon fire]. Because of the way things are now, jet pilots are not scared at all of attacking the carrier.
And shouldnt this 97,000 ton, floating city have a radar or something? It would make the game tons more difficult for enemy pilots to attack the carrier
Nah, I've got to disagree with you there, I think those sort of defense systems should be operatable by players, while even if not very popular, it gives one a wider range of things to monkey around with, just a shame MEC/China cant sneak up and use em, that would be murder
