Be happy that the essex even has guns, the mec and chinese main base has only a IGLA with only two missles.

Wtf, have you even read the other posts to see what I was talking about?

I think we all can agree that BF2 is a rip-off of Desert Combat, and in DC we had ground-attack planes, o wonderful ground attack planes. Given that the game was more vehicle based, but BF2 lacks some of the more fundmental aspects of war.
AA should be tons better, planes should quake in fear when a missles launched at em, perhaps use some SKILL to evade them, not just hit the flare key.

But if the MEC/China had a surface fleet, and a carrier, it too would be defended by some sort of system. Dont'cha think?

Yeah the carrier needs to up the power on the guns more. I mean Come on the rounds explode in the game, don't know if they do in real life, and the cannon overheats way to fast.

If you hate overpowered air support and want to see AA really work, try the PRMM. Shot down a base-raping F-35 and cackled in delight as the pilot was like "WTF?! what killed me?!"

The whole AA logic is flawed im sick of seeing team damage or team kills when i didnt even aim it anywhere near a friendly.

Ah, got bored of whining about missile ineffectiveness, now whining about the gun.

The problem with the gun is not its power but your own aim, any jet pilot can tell you even if you get touched for half a sec by the gun it takes 50% of the jet's health, the most effective anti-air guys use the guns instead of missiles

Just a hour ago I was killed by someone with the mini gun before I even realized somethign hit me. The ESSEX gattling gun is extremly powerful against jets, when the person shooting it knows how to aim.

I fully understand how deflection shooting works, but I find that if I do find a plane in time, the guns simply cant out shoot the guns of any giving jet; ive racked the bottoms of airplanes plenty of times, and yes a contrail of smoke will emerge but that plane would be proper ****ed if those guns mactched their real life counterparts

Yes, iewgnem (I'm guessing that "weng mei" backwards). When a player knows how to use a weapon, he can actually kill with it.

That is, unless it's the BH guns or a bomber. Those things fly and shoot on their own; you're just along for the ride and the points. We all know that the jet/helo kidnapped you and forced you to witness its pwnage.

I go head to head with those guns and almost never lose, it depends a lot on who is on the other end firing at you.
