Grappling hook is only for AT??

That makes no logical sense at all. Why the hell would you give a grappling hook to your grunts that have to pack around those big, clumbsy rocket launchers? How the hell could you climb with something like that strapped to your back?

Question on Grappling hooks: Are they presistant or just one shot deals? IE, could one toss up a rope and let others use it?

More and more, what I'm hearing about the content of this pack is making me NOT want it.

I'm not bitching per say, just pointing out the obvious.

I think this expansion is more about making BF2 what they felt it should have been, but never got around to implementing it correctly at release. So, it's sort of a patch. That you have to pay for. But w/e. I mean, more vehicles won't necessarily fix anything. All the ones we have now are pretty much the same. Except few that are obviously overpowered... such as the Chinese jets (su-27 included), USMC transport chopper and the MEC attack chopper.

Edit: no love for engineer is kinda strange. I mean, with the diminishing emphasis on vehicles, why even bother playing the kit anymore? You get a shotgun, but so does AT. And what a kickass shotgun it is!

Edit2: oh, and they HAD to include FN2000. Man, I hate that gun. Probably something left over from my short Far Cry career, but still!

This really is starting to look like a lame duck christmass cashgrab.
I sorta hope I'm wrong and that's it's actually very cool, but I'm gonna have to hear it from you guys before I spend anything on it.

EA did the same with BF1942.. A few new maps and a few new toys and you got a new expansion.. After SF there will probably be atleast one more.

so basically you can reach any place with those zip lines?

Lets say you're a sniper on karkand and you ahve zip line, you shoot it at one of the buildings many terraces and u can snipe from there?

You have got to be kidding me. I'm racking up so many points with AT as it is. at least 40 per match. It doesn't need a boost. Though, sniper, engineer and support do need one badly.

I doubt they would actually be much different from what's already in the game. I mean look at it the way it is now; Cobra is owning hardcore :) Why do you think Apache would be any better, or different for that matter? It will probably just be a heavier cobra; which would make it identical to Z10 (the Chinese chopper). I very much doubt that it would get a powerful cannon like the Havok (the russian chopper MEC uses), because real life Apache doesn't have one. Also, I very much doubt it will get hellfires instead of the TV missles we're used to. Probably for the same reason the Super Cobra doesn't have hellfires; they would be just too easy to use.

WTF! every kit has a gas mask! what's the point of having tear gas then?

:laugh: :laugh: i just thought about that :laugh: EA/Dice should really think about their ideas first, i thought tear gas was going to be kewl, but i guess you have to put it on when you thinkg there is going to be tear gas, i'm just glad they put in the G-36 and they also have the RPG, that will be a great anti-personal gun
