And here is a biggie from Kmart.

Armed with the latest weaponry, players can take control of any of the game's 30+ vehicles to engage in major conflicts with over 100 players in some of the largest online battles on the PC. And Walmart also says
Online multiplayer action with 100+ players on the PC.

And they both talk about the clan creation and such as the other stores. Also still posted are screenshots that aren't even one of the maps we received w/ the game.

As consumer's that have already purchased the game, it's our responsibility to ensure that this wont continue by simply complaining to a higher power. I have sent e-mail's to EA and participated in there poll's and to no avail.

I love this game, but there are too many unfinished things with this product. I paid 50 bucks when this this came out, and i still dont feel like i got my money's worth. Especially after upgrading to better hardware so i could run the game the way it's meant to be played. I needed to upgrade anyway, at some point, but when it's specifically for this game.........

If a car maufacturer advertised a car to be sold in a month, and released videos of the car in action and all the extra's it comes with. When that car is delivered, with one seat, and you have to put the engine together. That is not a finished product. So you complain to the car manufacturer, and they say they will fix the problems. The next day you see the same manufacturer releasing a newer version of your car in a month, with bigger and better options (as is the case w/ the expansion). But you still dont have your seat's and your almost done putting together the engine (EXCEPT you need a wrench that is only offered from the manufacturer and they wont give it to you-as is the case w/ the bot pathing tools) Yeah, it's not right, and people should stand up for themselves any way they can.

For the most part, I have no crashing issues w/ this game, but there are people who do! Releasing an expansion pack while there are still issues to be addressed is the wrong thing to do.

1.2 million people have purchased this game and play online, over 3000 ranked servers they must have done something right. That sounds like 50 million dollars.

As far as myself, I find it increasingly obvious that EA is not going to do anything about the issues. I gave it 3 months for patches that really dont do anything. I'm simply giving people a door to make a complaint against a company that doesn't care. The fact alone that they didn't revise the advertising after they realized they couldn't or wouldn't be able to provide what was promised is truth alone. The general public (consumers) were deceived by advertising, that is still advertised, about items that were never produced in the finished product. Issues within the game are never addressed. Tools that were promised to the community were never given.
My god man you really cant compare a car since cars come with base packages and options...the car in the video could be the fully loaded and the car with the one seat could be base model (which would be disclosed at the dealership...much like how the box BF2 comes in mentions none of this other crap...continue reading)...

All these sites are great but no where on the box does it mention any of these things, you may be onto something bigger than this and that is Online Marketing however the internet is a very unregulated place so good luck

I havent read any replies because this is a dumb thread; but for the original starter of this topic:

What the hell do you hope to accomplish by filing a complaint with BBB against EA ?

Do you know anything at all about how this works ? Do you actually think that the BB has some power over EA ? Do you think EA cares if you file your lame little complaints ?

Re: Will you file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau?

WHere do i sign up for praising the devs for making the game MORE then what i payed for, they gave me a new map and 140 fixes within the time it takes "other" dev teams (valve) to issue a press release saying "something might happen soon, but we will issue a press release if it does, but it probably wont"

As a point of fact they have sold 1.3 million copies and less then 200 different people are complaining in the forums, you do the maths but all rational adults will agree that this game has always been fixed and "complete"....

CAN you load the game - yes
CAN you play the game - YES
WILL you whine like 6 year old girls anyway -

Name ANY SINGLE GAME with more compatabilty, less bugs and that is "more finished" 3 months after release..... there isnt any the closest match is HL2 is again all rational adults will agree that that has HIGHER system requirements (Broadband connection ffs, at last check less then 60% of the country had access and worldwide its a tiny percentage) Hl2 has no functioning anti-cheat untill ONE YEAR after release and to date has been "finished" with over 1 gig of patches over a whole year and still every update seems to make the game unplayable for huge numbers of people.

Now i really like HL2 AND BF2, thats because they are as good or bad as not only each other, but the same as every other mainstream game of the last 5 years. Remember the game is free of any major bugs for 99.99999999 percent of the players (remeber that 1.3 MILLION copies sold number )

To again clarify, i like ALMOST EVERY OTHER PLAYER, has NO glitches, crashes, CTD or any other problems. I play when i want, where i want with the other tens of thousands of players that are ALWAYS playing this finished game

Re: Will you file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau?

heh another dreamer eh.., but then why should you care your ok and the game works fine for you so your logic is that it MUST be fine for everyone and anyone that "whinges" should be flamed and labelled lamer..., how narrow minded.

People all go on about name ANY single game that doesnt need patching.... well thats a lost attitude altogether, something we have had to learn from the gameing companies.. and now it seems its the norm to bring out a game thats buggy. What ever happened to quality over quantity? and does it make it right just because the gameing companies say so?

Console games???.... how many console games need patching? tell me that!!!!!!

Re: Will you file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau?

I have read some very informative posts on this forum with some interesting topics. This one would does not fall into that category, and would have to be one of the dumbest i have spent 3 minutes reading. Snap out of it you idiot, you are going to change nothing! It is a game not a life support system! The government has less important things to waste taxpayers time and money on. They dont and wont listen to a 12 year old having a sook about a computer game that he is not happy with.

Some people have too much time on their hands, or too much of something in their hands it seems.

                Have a nice day :)

                  My bad!!! I never knew!

If you think that British and Australian English are legit, then yes, whinge is a legit word. In America, however, it's very rarely encountered, which is why it's omitted from most American dictionaries; I had never heard the word before I went to England.

Whinge means pretty much 'to whine', in the sense of 'to complain in a peevish manner'. It's quite frequent in British and related varieties of English (though not in Canadian English). A few examples from this century: "Forgive this contemptible sort of whinging. I am so lonely and miserable I cant [sic] help it" (John Millerton Synge); "If that girl didn't stop her wingeing [sic], the neighbours would be banging on the wall" (Beryl Bainbridge).

The word whinge is of Germanic origin; its ultimate root is the same as the source of whine. Whinge is a northern form, and in early use was a dialectal form found in Scottish and Northern English writers.

Whinge is a continuation of the Old English verb hwinsian; though whinge is not found in Middle English, this is presumably due to a gap in the evidence.

You can use the car if it is only one model available such as BF2, you cant go get an upper model of BF2. You are right that the box says nothing about the extra's not included. But i also didn't see where it said SP1 is what is described on the package, and online play may require multiple patches(which is what we're not getting anyway) to fix all errors that will happen due to the fact that this game is not ready for release.

As far as the internet not being regulated, your right, but EA releases these game describing snippits to endorse the product on major corporation websites. It's not Danny's GAME DEN.

Cra-Z-Carl, I'm not asking them to refund my money, I'm asking them to finish the game.

I hope they do too. Then I'll have $50 to spend on something worthwhile, and still have the game. And my account? I couldn't care less, I'll just make another so I can play mods, as the BF2 rankings are meaningless and a gimmick to charge more money for servers. Sounds like a good deal to me.

Console games rarely need patching because they are designed for a standard platform; for example, XBox, PS2, etc. The developers do not have to account for the wide variety in hardware and software that the PC developers do. The game can be tested for bugs on the EXACT same machine that the end user will use, and they can be certain it will be a bug free product.
