Ive seen two doing an air display once, talk about intimidating they give you the ****s just looking at them, way better built than the Apache.

Would have to disagree with this.

They were designed for different missions. The apache is pure anti-tank, while the HIND was designed for transport as well as attack. IN the pure anti-tank realm... the AH-64 (All models) performs better than the Hind (personal opinion as well as a few different reviews, documentaries on various tv channels (History, military, Discovery chans).

As a transport helicopter... obviously the Hind performs better as the Apache only carries it's crew.

What are the specifications for this? Crash worthiness/crew survivability? performance? military role? weapons platforms? optics/scanners/radars?

Dont get me wrong... I think the Hind is an awsome helicopter, have gotten to see it a few times in airshows, with the russian troops in Bosnia/Kosovo, and here at the NTC, a few times, for training. I simply think that the Apache is a better platform.
