Re: Great Sniper Traits?
Sniper traits...hmmm...as someone that was a decent sniper in the game of Planetside and a fair one in BF2, there are a few things you should know if you intend to be a sniper.
1) Patience
2) Awareness of your surroundings.
3) Patience
4) Know the battlefield.
5) Don't be stupid and stay in one spot to long sniping - you'll die.
6) Cover, cover, cover - if you can blend...blend. Don't give people an obvious silhoutte on a rooftop or ridge line(some so called wannabe snipers make great targets).
7) Patience
Yes I snipe in BF2, but only when I need to take out another sniper that thinks they are a good sniper. Most of the players that think they are good snipers that I have come across in this game suck at sniping. There are exceptions of course and those ones I always compliment when I encounter them.
Oh and snipers can do more than just kill. You are useful as a forward scout and observer - you can point out troop movements to others very easily.
