Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
What do all of you, with your experiances, think great sniper traits are for a squad/ team working sniper? I always hear tales of some people that found that one great sniper in their squad, and how they would like to see more like them. So what do great snipers do and what should you expect?
EDIT: By the way.... This isnt some help topic. Im just curious, and want to hear your opinion.
About the only thing a sniper can accomplish in a team is security from other snipers. I could see making a team of snipers so if I didn't have a shot at a baddie someone else might.
Of course not being a good sniper myself I might just be talking out my behind.
ive actually been able to win in a medium to sort of close range fight against an assault class with my m24.
ive been wanting to make a video of myself sniping, but not just lame long range shots, im actually good at medium and upclose shots. i can make them fairly easy without crouching or proning. even a few very cose range accounts when i killed someone without the scope. not saying im the best sniper with the m24, but damn good.
i want to make a video of myself sniping like this, but for some reason combat videos dont do very well at all, in popularity.

You should not usually be in a squad as a sniper ... and sure as hell should not be the squad leader. Nothing I hate more than ending up a squad leader after I've found a great spot to snipe, and everyone spawns on me. Good job!
I either don't join a squad, or create my own and lock it so nobody else can join.
The best trait of a good sniper is being able to work alone.
Nevermind... Not getting the things I wanted to hear... If anyone has something decent to post do so... Oh and the sniper dosnt have to be in a squad, I hear people talk about snipers their with as suppirt units, and they describe them as being 'great'. I just want to know what makes them great.
Everyone thinks snipers just camp all day long and get 2 kills per round...theyre mostly right, but those snipers are complete n00bs, which is the majority of snipers. If you could get the feel of using the sniper more agressively (engaging in close combat situations), than you get around 30 kills per round.
Its easier than it sounds. Just shoot an enemy up close with the M95, prone, take out the pistol, jump, and shoot. Its a fast process and you are usually the winner of the encounter.
I first started using this strategy in Far Cry, where I became my clans (TAW) top sniper. Took me a while to get the feel for the sniper class in BF2, but once you could use it effectively, it becomes a whole different experience.
Why have snipers in squads? So that the enemy is left with 2 bars of health and dies faster. When a squad advances towards a flag, the sniper doesnt have to be 200 meters away covering them. He could be right by there side, taking a shot at someone from close range.
The greatest sniper trait is being able to quickly pick up other players kits in case it's a close game and they actually want to accomplish something.
Don't get me wrong because I enjoy sniping and have 25 out of 242 hours @ sniping.
I'm never gonna pretend that it has any impact on the game relative to that same 'skilled' player using a more effective kit or vehicle.

Snipers could prevent the enemy from having any type of air take off. I would say that plays a tremendous role in the outcome of the round.
To find those good spots that aren't too obvious. Also, when playing as a sniper in BF2 you have to combine CS:S and AA:SF tactics, not just AA:SF (proning on the same rooftop for 25 minutes straight), or CS:S (jumping around like crazy and... shooting stuff).
