Man, it is uncanny how similiar this post is to what I requested as a pipe dream in another post somewhere.

Best of luck, however I get the feeling it will be a few years before a game successfully recreates this much detail.

Well I think it's time that EA/Dice incorportate this into their games, especially if they are war games and make them rated M for mature so it can cut down on most of the children playing the war games in the first place. BF2 shouldn't be rated T, because some people just can't hande artillary shells comming at them or headshots with various guns.

So blood and gore mod is the next best thing to enhancing EA/Dice videogames or something that people would love in BF2 of course with the options that I requested in the beginging, defualt it is turned off, and no cheat codes should be needed to find it like in mortal kombat back in the day.

for the last time - the bf2 engine != any other engine which has these sorts of 'gore' features. I dont see why its so hard to comprehend the reason why its just not possible

Dude I am totally with you in this topic. I have been talking about this for years. I have always wanted to see a gore engine created in a game. Seeing how most of all the frigan games now a days are first person war related shooters they need to make them more real. Yeah yeah, make them look pretty but also make them more realistic. A gore engine would be totally possible if they put enough effort into it. But it would require proffessional work to do it. If you guys have a problem with it don't post in this thread. This is a mod forum and the guy is suggesting a mod. So don't go and critisize and get off by contributing to negative feedback. IF you guys are real hardcore gamers than you would drive to see this happen in a frigan first person war shooter. This would be a huge step between the future and past games. If you can't handle the gore, then simply don't play the game. Your playing a realistic shooter and this kind of S*** happens in every day life in IRAQ. The game is trying to simulate war, and there can't be war without one of the other guys loosing his life or a leg on the other end of a RPG.

Well that is about my hole opinion on the thing. I hope it happens man, i'm with you. This would be kick A**.

Well, I respect the fact that it's your opinion but I strongly disagree with the statement that the blood & gore would be the "next best thing to enhancing [games]".

BF2 doesn't need blood and gore to make it more realistic. Besides, I've seen enough real blood and gore in my life that I certainly don't want it in a fun video game.

What BF2 needs is fully interactive, destructable environments. Tanks shells that blow holes in walls, C4 that can take out building supports and take them down, planes and helis hitting objects when they crash that cause damage that persists. Trees and vegetation that react to bullets and other forms of damage, like planes crashing into them and leaving trees torn down, etc. Mines, missles, grenades and other explosives that leave bomb craters in the ground. Vehicles that don't just "blow up" with the usual random fragments -- wheels and panels and proper physic-implemented damage routines.

To me that would be FAR mor fun, entertaining and above all more realistic than needing to see limbs being blown apart and guts spilled over the ground.

Again, I've been playing games for gone 30 years now. Last thing I want in my games is blood and guts so realistic that the line between what is "fake" and "game-like" crosses over into what I have had to see for much of my adult life

This isn't about driving to make it happen it's about realising it can't be done and being realistic. I'd love to see huge amounts of blood and gore but it isn't going to happen.

This thread is also about proving that SuperSixThree is a huge moron who needs to think before he posts and also needs to get a firm grip on reality.
