Maybe some people are sick of retards posting like they know what they're talking about just to get other retards to circlejerk around them and tell them how amazing their idea is. If his first posts had actual content and not just ******** about what he was going to do even though he had no results and obviously had no idea what he was doing, then I personally wouldn't have had a problem with it. His retarded fantasy-world attitude is also annoying. If he'd posted and said

"It would be so awesome if we could make a mod with <insert features here>, anyone know if this is possible and how I could get started?"

It would have been a whole lot better than:

I was thinking about making a Blood and Gore Mod using 3D studio MAX and Photoshop. Only one problem I don't know how to make blood in 3D studio max and how to incorporate it in the game.
Followed by a heap of ******** to get every moron on these forums excited about his mod.

He then goes on to completely ignore everyones advice yet subtly asks for help (because let's face it, he has no ****ing idea what he's doing, 3ds Max and Photoshop hurrr).

That's why I personally have a problem with our best retarded buddy TheHeartSmasher.

It's a bad thing that you fill that way about me, maybe instead of getting mad with anger you can focus it on helping in the development of adding this feature into the game.

I believe many people have read this from EA, DICE, and multiple mod and clan communities. With DICE and EA it takes time, so if you want something you have to advertise it and that is what I am doing, and maybe someone up high in the chain will decide mmm, why not they want it they can have it. Then all we can all be happy with a more realistic game pley experience.

Most of the players still only play on official ranked servers no matter what's out there. If this could be added into upcomming patches it would add a whole new experince to Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142.

I believe this is because I have come up with one of the best ideas there ever was and will be for the Battlefield Community. Some people think the Battlefield system has extreme limitations well I think the mods of the community have proven everyone wrong about that. The large and small changes that EA and DICE have done should have also thrown any idea of it's limitations straight out of the window.

DICE made Battlefield 1942 DC now that should prove to everyone that almost anything can be done with Battlefield 2 or any Battlefield game.

well good luck to you but in terms of realism i think its pushing it and eroding what the game is really about

              Re: Blood and Gore Mod

^^^ errno it's an internet forum, people don't actually read these things, sheesh.

I swear to god TheHeartSmasher is either really retarded, or the cleverest, most subtle troll I have ever seen.

It's kinda hard to tell at this point.

It's also pretty sad that this thread has been going for so long.

Oh and one more rebuttal: EA/Dice will never add that level of gore to the game because they would be limiting their market.

I've never heard of someone not playing a game because there is not enough blood, but I've heard of plenty of people/parents saying they won't play overly violent games (or let their kids play overly violent games).

Pure, simple, economics. Why limit your market by adding a feature that most people either don't honestly care about either way, or don't want.

Also (and this is probably even more obvious), EA/Dice don't need to get ideas for such basic features from internet forums. This is the sort of thing they would have discussed at the earliest stages of design and rejected due to the above issue.

So how is the mod coming along? If you've achieved anything that was previously believed impossible I'd be happy to help.

                  Re: Blood and Gore Mod

Alright back on subject. If I can get a team together I will continue on to building this feature for Battlefield 2. I already have a few people that are willing to help me. :) Yes it will take time, and when I was refering to the Blood and Gore Mod I also mentioned that the settings for this was completly adjustable.

It seems like the game is geared towards people 18+ because it has shooting of people in the head, which would be something that a mature rated game would have.

So taking that into consideration which would be a good idea to make Battlefield 2 a mature/adult only game. Why you ask, well so the programers/developers/designers, etc. Can do as they please without having to worry about concerned parents of underage children. It would also inhance the maturity of the Battlefield Community, nothing is worse than playing with kids on Battlefield 2 or having them complain on forums about their childish ideas.

So guys please try to stay on subject "Blood and Gore Mod" or should I say feature. Tres you really seemed to love this idea on your first post, then you hated it, now you like it again. So if you guys want to step this project up you can email ea and dice about adding this feature. They normally don't mind adding new things, unless it is adding things that they have already taken out.

                    Gibblets and Bits.
                    What could be better?
And i don't see them adding this because of all the kiddie/teeny boper sales. Also the euro market is known for being anti violence even though the games will have many a topless skin runnin around.

Would be nice if you would allow mods to use this feature along with their work. Like adding the bright red cherry to a nice sunday.

You don't understand, there is no feature, TheHeartSmasher is like the modding world's equivalent of Infinium Labs.

I cant believe this thread is still going - @heart smasher...

sorry m8 - but i am going to assume that this is all talk for 2 reasons.

                        1. From reading through this thread 2 things become apparent 1 - you have no experience in modding, modelling, coding or texturing. 2 - There seems to be a whole lot more imagination going on here than actual progress, half of this thread is really "what if's" with no real solution stated for achieving these if's. Imagination is a good thing - but you need skills to back it up.

                        2. Being a modder, I can tell you right now that having limbs detach from the player model is IMPOSSIBLE. It cant happen - the bf2 engine simply wont support this and neither will most people's PC's if it was indeed possible. As for blood spatter the only way this could be achieved would be with single layer polies textured with an alpha layer - again, most peoples PC's just couldnt handle this after a few splats were thrown around here and there. Also "dripping" and actual splatter particle effect doesnt exist in BF2 - so essentially this whole conversation is rather frivalous.

But i dont know whats worse - The fact that this thread is still going, or the fact that you have had people come through here with entirely more experience than yourself and you have refuted their advice.

                        come what may.

oh - and FYI - having 3ds and PS doesnt instantly make you a modder

good luck with what course you decide to take now - whether it be deal with the facts or plod on in denial - the choice is yours.

                        jimbob

EDIT: i love how you actually think EA would listen to us if we asked for blood in the next patch - thats hilarious... especially when it instantly cuts out 50% of the revenue..

                        IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN

ummmm sorry - not everything is possible with the bf2 engine lol and it is naive to think so.

try getting a bipedal vehicle into bf2 then hmm.
try creating drop ropes from choppers.
                            try making tunnels in terrain.
try adding extra key bindings for vehicles
haha or - for that matter - try getting a "blood and gore" option as detailed as the one described in this thread into bf2

                            anything is not possible

AFAIK Battlefield apocalypse had the most you could do towards adding blood. If anyone is really serious here they should go and talk to them.

as much as i would love to see a gore system in bf2 that worked with the physics engine, i wouldnt hold my breath if i were you
