coz when I did the previous update I lost my scores and my rank..and started all over again!

Negative Chief you will not lose your score. Make sure you have the appropriate ports for GameSpy and BF2 open for your router and or firewall.
Proper Ports are as follows.

If you are behind a firewall/proxy and are able to change its settings, Arcade needs the following TCP ports open in order to function:
* 6667 (IRC)
* 3783 (Voice Chat Port)
* 27900 (Master Server UDP Heartbeat)
* 28900 (Master Server List Request)
* 29900 (GP Connection Manager)
* 29901 (GP Search Manager)
* 13139 (Custom UDP Pings)
* 6515 (Dplay UDP)
* 6500 (Query Port)

By the way with some firewalls just shutting them down will not open the ports. You could be closing the ports, which can cause you a headache. So learn your router and firewall settings and learn how to allow incomming UDP and TCP connections. Also some providers may block certian UDP & TCP ports, you might have to check with them if you cant work it out on your end.

I understand why veteran players are upset about the rank requirement changes. People have worked hard to earn them but for a casual player like myself that doesn’t get as much time to play and under the old system would only have been able to attain few if any unlocks/awards, I like the new requirements. It opens the door for casual players to get more involved and the ability to use some different weapons. I do understand the frustration but there is little that anyone can do about it. Not everyone that is now ranking up is a "noob" they may like me just be a decent player that is also a father that doens't have a lot of spare time to play a great game.

I hear where you are comming from. I have the time right now. I do know what it is like to not have the time though. I do understand. I think the changes are good. Besides who is complaining. Those that had rank recieved more at the same pace that those that didnt have rank recieved their new rank. So we all moved up. Whats done is done. Lets play.

Like the poster above, I am GLAD they changed the ranks. I got corporal a few weeks ago, unlocked the G3 and havent played since. After I got corporal, it was sort of anti climatic, because I knew I probably wouldnt be able to get to the next rank.
Now that the points are more stratified, I belive it is much better. When your a kid and have endless time on your hands its easy to complain about how "easy" it is to get points/ranks. However for many people they may ONLY have 2 or 3 hours on the weekend to play. Using the old system, it would take someone a year and half playing 2 or 3 hours a week. At least now with a modest amount of playing time, a person will be able to acheive ranks.
I actually havent played BF2 in a few weeks, I had to uninstall the game for disk space. It seems the patch came out a few days after I last played. Oddly enough, I had just over 10,500. Now it says I have 9500. Oh well, Ill be playing for the first time in a few weeks this weekend. Look forward to getting that m95.Comment

i have a quick question about the basic commander badge
scored 59 x2 [winning team]
but didnt get said badge stayed on server ea uk 9 for a couple more rounds before calling it a night
is there another requirement to earn this badge other than score

Combat Action =
18 kills in 1 round
Global Kill streak of 10 or greater
That is for the ribbon I'm assuming thats what you were asking for since there is no combat action medal listed that I saw right away.Comment
