I got 4 promotions, and 4 unlocks. The first 3 promotions i got after making my first 1.03 kill, and then i got another promotion a few minutes later right after i blew up an enemy copter with C4. Hmm...
I also got the far east service ribbon, middle east service ribbon and good conduct ribbon after having played for about half an hour since i got the game patched.

"Progress to next rank" bar isn't displaying any percentage though

well I am getting the patch as i write, but these changes to the ranks are kinda stupid imo.

I doubled my efforts to get 25000 and SGT BEFORE the patch just so I know what I EARNED vs what was handed to me.

earn 10000pts with the AT kit alone them come talk to me about being good

it's funny 'cos i threw an ammo pack - boom - instant promotion. got a kill assist - another promotion. finally got a kill - another promotion.

i wonder how long 'till someone figures out the points for the new ranking system...


EDIT: it says on "Progress towards next rank: 91%" so i'm guessing from first sergeant to master gunnery sergeant is somewhere around 10-15k pts.?

Hmmm well if you are already at 62k then I think you mean 60k -65k right? Or did you mean that you are at 6200 rather than 62000?

ok lets see...i got 12.300 points and i am gunnery sergeant now

really the patch rules...first kill: promoted to sergeant (thinking was that all??) next kill: Staff Sergeant (that was a bit better ) third kill: Promoted to Gunnery Sergeant (LMFAO :P)....and i didnt get more ranks...so maybe 10-11k for the gunnery sergeant..

Next up is the Master Gunnery SGT ranks which is achieved at 30,000 or 35,000 globals not quite sure which one yet will just have to see. Cant wait to see what ranks the top players get promoted to with 150,000 globals.

I had 2 unlocks pre-patch, and i got 2 more when patched.
