finally, after the revamped ranking system where not only you'll get ranks easier and get unlocks, it's time to play bf2 w/o getting the most amount of points in mind first!

I agree! I am still kind of on the fence about the new ranking system. If it IS the way it is then I should be a Staff Seargent when I update. I like the idea of getting the unlocks but it was cool and fun making sure you played a good game to get points. Maybe they just went a little bit too low on the ranks. Oh well, hopefully the teamwork will actually come in to play............................FINALLY!!!

I think it's a good thing.

It allows those people who just want to get some weapons and have fun to do so. Those who are compulsive stat collectors can still rise up the officer corps.

50,000 seems to be for seargent major....im at 55K and i got seargent major and all unlocks.

Seriously, I've been playing this game for like 4 months now and I'm only at lance corp. The way the stats were before, it'd take someone almost 2 years of playing to get up that high without exploiting. I like this new ranking system.

this is actually a good thing!

before, ppl don't care about anything else except getting the most points (like me armor whoring at karkand 4 hours a day) so the can get the higher ranks and unlocks.

now, with everyone ranking up faster and getting unlocks, what's the point of playing for points? NOTHING!

that's why i think there's gonna be a lot more teamwork, flag defending, etc.!

yeah, you're right. I think (for myself) this is going to change my approach now to have a great "team" game other then competing with all the ****** on every map who's only playing purpose is to get points and rank up, so any cheap tactic that is available will be used. Not anymore hopefully

this gentlemen is the exact reason for why the ranks were changed. it is now easy for newbies to get ranks therefore more people will play bf2. im fine with that.
