ATTENTION NEW PEOPLE:
What you see there in that footage is the recordings shown at E3 last year (Or maybe the year before) when BF2 was just making its public appearance. Such things you have been arguing over as the Commander screen and the different items cut from the game used to be there at one time, a long, long time ago. This was an early build of the game. Unfortunately, for one thing or another, every thing missing from our current BF2 that is in that footage was found to be either unuseful or a nuisance.

LMAO, you guys are absolutly insane. Anyways, the game now looks much better more vibrant, all that character selection stuff would have made bf, well, not BF. I like how it is now. The game looks great i can only see if you compared it with the first video with the missle going through the BH door. The tanks had much more detail now i wish i had that one. But this looks like trash, the player models were awful, te gun models were awful, its looked like ****. You guys can say what you want but this is what i think. So go drink a beer or something.

well .. that video is at least one year old (Date Added: Thursday, October 21, 2004 10:11 AM) ... so, yes, thats exactly what BF2 is ... a reduced version of what EA promissed. ... and with the next two or three expansion packs they will slowly add all the missing features and thus making $100 per player instead of $40.

Funny how that some of you said "I'd pay a monthly fee to play that!!" So you won't pay for an expansion? You guys are a gas. You guys dont make sense. When I play battlefield I still stop and stare at it's beauty. This game just rocks the way it is. I think the ropes in the expansion will kill it. IMO. Oh yeah I was banned for like 5 days. So I guess your gravely dissapointed to hear that.

I agree. You guys should try running at 1600x1200 w/ High graphics. Those vids look like crap compared to the current BF2 Im playing (at 1600x1200 on high settings)

If you play with a lower rez well no freakin crap those vids look good theyre taken at max resolution.

Yeah, you can't talk if you play BF2 on low or medium. Especialy at like 1024x768. Put AA on x4 and at 1280x960 all high, then go watch then video. You'll see what I mean. Oh and high res textures? Go look ask Wolfi for pics of his 6 color desert camo Then youll see high res textures.

That is most likely a tech demo made specifically to suck people in. Software companies of all types make 'mock ups' of their products to build hype. End products are rarely like what you see in videos like that. It's just how the industry works. That, and proably they have every option turned on high and the game in it's highest res. Something most of us can't do.
