Wait for Patch 1.30...thats all i'm gonna say. From what I heard, this patch changes ALOT more than just the gameplay (Gee...140+ fixes?). Because i'm under NDA, I will now shut my mouth. Lets just say EA is listening and watching, but they just want to keep you under wraps and keep playing...and then kick yourself =P

Like the sound of this. So maybe they will reduce the reqs after all. Good to see they listen.

I just want to say that i know the awards system affects nothing in the game and if you dont care about them so be it. BUT, to those of us who do it seems ridiculous to have to play for thousands of hours to get some. Its simple, trhe awards should be at least realistic in how you ge them. Im not asking for them to make it easy, just realistic. Personal satisfaction is the key and yes they do add to ther fun of the game since your working toward a goal.

I don't give a crap about medals or ranks. In fact, i have gone on to playing on the unranked servers and found that the teamwork is actually working there, as there is no big pressure to rank up...

The only thing i would like is to have is the locked weapons available... I believe having to rank up to unlock weapons has ruined a large portion of this game; as i said in the previous paragraph - the ranked servers are full of too many people just playing for their own ranks and medals..

IT seperates to good players and the dedicated ones, from those who are not.

If the ranks and medals were reduced everyone would be master sgt of the corp, and have all the badges. Then where would be the point, and fun in the medals/rank system.

I think the requirements are spot on, because at the end of the day you dont HAVE to get all the medals to 'win' you just have to get the ones that apply to your playing style.

the dedicated ones are the nerds that sit infront of a computer all day and play bf2 while everyone else is at work/school, they also play and only stop to eat and take a crap, they have no life, and ****** idiots.

Can't wait to hear what's changing in 1.30 after Umi.Ryuuzaki practically made me drool.. (you sure you don't work for EA? )

id ont care about medals anr iblons because they mean nothing, but it shouldnt take that long to get all of the weapons, thats the only reason people play the game you get unlocks, and if it takes to damn long no onw will want to wast time playing

wrong. that may be the only reason you play the game, but some of us play for entertainment. not some reward.

the badges and medals in bf2 are just for fun. its so when youre playing you get rewarded and it makes it more fun. the object of the game isnt to get every award. when i get an award in bf2 it makes me want to play more and get all diferent awards. i dont see a downside, you get awards for playing the game, like more of a reason to play

I only play on ranked servers for the gun unlocks but medal/ribbons/badges are cool to have but thats not why I play.
