Re: Campaign to get EA to reduce the awards reqs

I'd love for the second unlock to come at 5000 points, but other than that I'm not too worried.

I've been playing since about a week after it came out and I'm only barely at 5000 points. I'll likely never get the third unlock, but I'll live.

You made that exact point. I think they have done a pretty good job and have thought this out long and hard. The only thing that all of you have inadvertantly agreed on is that it caters for EVERYBODY that plays the game. From some who will only play a matter of hours up to the guys on top of the ladder that are reaching some of the highest ranks in two months. That i believe is a good thing, that is obviously trying to keep everyone happy. Kudos to dice on the good job.

Just remember that the unlock guns are just ALTERNATIVES, not nescisarily better guns. That would mean the people who have more time to play have a distinct advantage and that would not be as fun.

I still like the idea of a member here who said that the longer you stay in the server, and the more stuff you do, you increase rank just for that time. Kind of like what RFCW: Enemy Territory does.

You must be kidding! The DAO12 whoops a$$ compared to the whimpy little MP5. After I got that thing my ability to survive as an AT went up alot! If I was a MEC sniper I would definetly take the M95 if I could compared to the SVD and same thing with the Jackhammer and definetly the PKM. The rank system as it is now rewards people who play an insane amount of hours more than they reward people who play well. I know several people who can't play more than an hour or two per day.

Theres been a lot of good things said here and yes i can see the argument for lowing the medals but still i think they are fine.

Need to stop thinking is the short term, people are seeing higher ranked players and thinking **** i NEED to get to that level and have to put in the next 1000 hours straight. Its not like that

If you are always thinking about medals and always worrying about how much more you have to do for certain ones it takes all the fun away from them.

FORGET about them and just play, that way when you eventually reach a medal you will be like 'ohh **** wow i just got this one yey!'

I think they originally intended the rank system to have more impact in game than it does, servers that require a certain rank to join for example, they sort of did this with the commander mode (higher rank > lower rank), maybe they would have expanded on this to other aspects like vehicles and aircraft with a queue system to be able to get behind the driver seat.

The weapon unlocks keep people playing with the hope of obtaining an edge over another player who doesn’t have one, if they made this too easy everyone would have said they “beat” the game, nothing more to do and quit playing. It also enforces better behavior out of most people with fewer people TK’ing just because.

id ont care about medals anr iblons because they mean nothing, but it shouldnt take that long to get all of the weapons, thats the only reason people play the game you get unlocks, and if it takes to damn long no onw will want to wast time playing

i'd say how about a petition to lower score requirements for a promotion. Its just too high for most people, i mean we paid 50 dollars for a game and can't even use all of the weapons. I know theres people out there who say that you have to earn the unlocks but still, either unlock all of the weapons or lower the points needed to unlock them.
