yes you can use your original accounts according to ea.

as long as the 1.03 patch is released before the expansion pack is, i think its cool.

and if this expansion is anything like the expansion packs were back in the Medal Of Honor series from EA, you could play everything on BF2 through the Expansion aswell as the new features, and whatever, that the expansion introduced.

The game was made by DICE Sweden, the expansion pack is being made by DICE Canada, there is no conflict in the development and no chance of "destroying" BF2 since they are 2 complete independant sattelite offices.

I didn't mean that there would be developmental issues...I'm saying that the expansion is coming out just a few months after BF2's release, so we won't be able to enjoy our unlocked weapons long enough. I know we'll be able to use our existing accounts, but it's obvious we'll have to start from 0. Yes, we could just keep playing BF2 but what's the point of that with an expansion?

the expansion is estimated to come out at the end of this year, its still ages away.....
the patch will be out looong before that. and god stop complaining about it, theres hardly been any info regarding this expansion. this is the same situation before bf2 came out, everyone is speculating without knowing the facts

DOnt be too sure of that. You'll be lucky if it gets out BY december. With the stuff going on at EA the patch is going to be held up for a very long time. Changes in employee work hours means they wont be dedicating as much time fixing our problems.

Changes in management can result in changes in the infrastructure which can or will possibly lead to less people developing the patch.

I also heard from a little birdie that the expansion will have jet skis. WOnder if they will have some sort of James Bond type rocket launchers on them? lol IF they do have them in there, then they better add some more beaches & bikinis too. heh!

You must realize EA is the publisher. As publisher Dice cant publicly release anything without EA publishing it, according to all of EA's contracts.

So believe it or not, even if DICE has it done here and now, with EA being as it is, you may not get it untill december.

its easier for EA to make you PAY for bug fixes by releasing an expansion...
if they wait, they will have to release fixes for this game, and they cant get any money for it... They want you to pay TWICE... first time you buy an unfinished game... second time you pay for an expantion that fixes the game... and makes it the way it should have been on its original release date...

bugs? glitches? tking? they should fix all the problems with this game before they go making another game that will probably have alot of the same problems
