Expansion is way too early.

Title says it all. IMO, EA is releasing it's expansion WAYYY too early and although they're going to get a lot of money, it's going to really destroy the original BF2.

Sure, we'll get new vehicles and other cool stuff, but our hard-earned unlocks and points from BF2 will be lost before we can actually enjoy them for a few months, assuming we'll have to create new accounts when the expansion comes out. I say, release the expansion around Xmas...then we can actually get to those impossibly high requirements for awards and unlocks, get EA to fix THIS game, and so that EA can make a less problematic expansion!

What do you guys think?

The game was made by DICE Sweden, the expansion pack is being made by DICE Canada, there is no conflict in the development and no chance of "destroying" BF2 since they are 2 complete independant sattelite offices.

sure BFV sucked it. but those booby traps on cars was coool. even thought i really ddidnt get to use it

I dunno, a couple new features won't get $50 for me... Don't even try and say new maps, because in Callofduty, each patch had atleast 2 new maps go along with it.

BF:Vietnam featured some innovative improvements such as how fast flags are captured, ability to shoot your weapons when being a passenger, custom and pre-loaded soundtracks, kit selection, etc.

bugs? glitches? tking? they should fix all the problems with this game before they go making another game that will probably have alot of the same problems

Kit selection? I dunno what game i was playing, but in the bf1942 i had, you could select wich kits you whanted.

Not to mention, how fast flags are capped? Dice set a certian time on flags.. But, in bfv you could see how far it was till they were capped.

Kit selection? I dunno what game i was playing, but in the bf1942 i had, you could select wich kits you whanted.

he means that in BFV you could select what weapon you wanted with that kit..

ex. Anti Tank = M60 with a grenade launcher or LAW...

Not to mention, how fast flags are capped? Dice set a certian time on flags.. But, in bfv you could see how far it was till they were capped.

In BF:Vietnam, players had the choice to pick one of the two kits for every class. So a player had the choice to pick the M40 or the M21 to snipe, and the Heavy weapons kit gave the option for the player to choose the M60/Grenade launcher or the M14/Anti-Tank rocket. It added a lot of diverse weapons doing this way.

Not only did DICE Canada added a feature of how much time it would take to cap a flag, but sped the time to capture the flag for each teammate near it. This feature is also in Battlefield 2.

then they made the m60 sucky. i remember in teh beginning you could rambo it everywhere and pwn everyone with the m60
