These servers are up for 2 reasons:

#1. They don't read forums
#2. EA is rather busy and does not respond to these server reports instantly (I would hope they are busy on our patch )

As long as its on an unranked server its ok. This issue is rules on ranked servers that EA is cracking down.

Don't dare use your mind to be creative or adaptive to situations and circumstances. Yet far better that we maintain a single minded tunnle vision mentality as laid out by our handlers. Echo_One in my opinion does not pay for a ranked server. He probably floats around happily living off the resources of others. Well take it from me Joe f'in public the little guy trying to make it work in a sea of big fish. EA is crossing the line into faschism. I started off with 1 ranked 32 man server. Which for those of you who don't keep up with costs is about $200.00 price of a brand new small car per month. Then a few weeks later after reinstalling a patch twice due to an error on thier part for which I didn't invoice EA for my time, they change the rules so that I now cannot play matches or have private practices on my ranked server. So I now go spend anther $70.00 per month for a private server which sat empty except for game day (till now thanks to the mod map creaters "true heroes to the cause of gaming") So I thought that I was now all set up. But then the big Corps come onboard ie. Zboard and open up tons of ranked adminless lack of ingenuity servers. So here I am in my lil old ranked server spending 4 hours to get 10 people so that I can play. So now I need to think again Hmm what can I do to make my server popular. So I put karkand 24/7 on it and after a week its a hit and my server is always full. So one day I feel like playing some Op. Clean Sweep or kubra Dam and I change the map on my server. You should hear the crying from all the resource users bitching at me cause I changed from Karkand. So ok not being brain dead like the big Corps, I give in to public demand, put the server back on karkand and leave it on that. Server is full and I am happy. So now I decide to get another ranked server so I can play different types of maps. ie. flying maps & tank whore maps. but noone wants to come in cause Zboard has 42000 servers playing Kubra Dam.
So since I am now spending $450.00 per month on game server instead of making the payments on a Cadillac. So I need to go back to the drawing board and find something that works. So yes I set up a Knives and Pistols server. was full in 15 minutes and stayed that way.

We (the gamers of the world) have proven time and time again that we are more intouch with the games we play then the designers of the product.
And for this noob and EA to want a guy like me BANNED for doing one thing, providing a quality, creatively run server for which I charge no admission to get in. Ya I am the kinda guy to get rid of. Then you will but stuck in a world of 12 year olds calling the shots in the gaming community. Keep up the good work EA I am looking at a Cadillac brochure later.

Oh BTW to all you rats, I will be dicontineuing my Knives and Pistols server because if this rumor is true it's not worth the risk of being BANNED. I may be rightous but I am not stupid. And if your insistant on tracking me down anyways to fulfill your pathetic life here is my server IP.209.40.97.8:16567

Why don't you run a non-ranked pistol and knife server?

Once everybody learns that ranked servers will not be running any, they will flock to you.

There..you're happy again.

Remember...we're NOT trying to stifle mods or creative gameplay modes. I'm all for it. Heck, it is mods that makes these games popular.

But are you going to complain when a fun mod comes out and is not allowed on a ranked server???

Host the danged mod on a private server!!! Those who want to play it will know to go there.

This is the same argument. What is being done is an 'unofficial mod' of sorts. Nothing more, nothing less.

It is a legit e-mail. All the server providers have been getting it and have been posting it.
