makes sense that it wouldn't do as much damage at an angle.

The weapon is quite accurate and it is called a Section Attack Weapon here. I have used it many times and enjoyed firing it very much. And to rebut your "controled fire my ass".. you should try it in game. might get you more kills or at least leave you with more ammo...

Another cool thing would have been the spare barrel the operator carries and changes after the first drum. But like i said this is for another topic. )
Well, you in Canada, me in US, so that would explain why you call it a Section Attack Weapon and why we call it a Squad Automatic Weapon. So we're both right.

      Cheers

          stats, stats, stats... hmmm...

here we are, stats for -=SiN=-Broown. you have an entire 5mins as support and a 1:4 kill ratio.
maybe you should try it in game? though im sure you're an absolute ace w/ it on unranked servers.

Yeah, just like T-34 tanks in WWII, they had thinner armor than German tanks but they were sloped, the german guns wre to ineffective against it, then they made the Panther to counter it, Panther was a great tank, but Hitler wanted pure power so they made the tiger, it had no sloped armor but it's armor was extremely thick, it was too heavy, IMO the Panther was better than the Tiger.

No one was hurt in the incident, which happened Tuesday while the pilot was helping agents on the ground apprehend 17 people attempting to illegally enter the U.S., spokesman Michael Gramley said. They were on the north side of the All-American Canal, a large irrigation canal that runs from California along the U.S.-Mexico border.
Maybe the border patrol agents should have pulled a Kamikaze on them... Just like some do in the game. Personally, I would have paid money to been in a Blackhawk equipped like the one in the game. I could have solved all the illegal immigration problems at that location. Free of charge.

I used to be, i'm not any more, i was in the 101st airborne ranger division. We used mk.46 mod. 0's though, since we were paratroopers we had smaller weapons the mk. 46 mod 0 is a smaler version of the M249 SAW.

Intresting point...:) Not that it matters what i do in game with it. I choose to use other classes as they are more effective to the map objectives.
The shooting it in real life thing would allow me to talk about realism, seeing that this topic kinda has that involved and i didn't want to stray to far down a tangent. But I am not going to debate it anymore. Just trying to give some inside advice about it and talk a little. Not make people frustrated and mad whilst the use their computers:)

Agreed. I had plenty of trigger time on the SAW when I was in the Marine Corps and if you're using all of your marksmanship principles it is fairly easy to cut apart a mansized target at 100 meters and put a substantial amount of rounds on target up to 300 meters.

Also, if you've ever seen the video of the Iraqi insurgent with the RPG that gets mowed down in the street, you know how devestating the SAW really is. Unfortunatley, you can't see how distant the shooter is from what I've seen but it doesn't look like many rounds missed.

Ya d00d. We sat down one day and did a barrel of tracers. Real quick to target. :)

of course it matters. you are arguing about how to play the kit when you have no experience.

Obviously there is no technical mechanics it would make the game very annoying, its not like the rock hit the side and blew it up.

I agree with the stealthy aspect of attack choppers. As a regular assault rifle if fired at the right part should take damage to the pilot. And even shoot through the windscreen. They are completely invincible from any regular infantry giving the chopper any damage at all.
