well where did the OP read that choppers wont be able to cap flags?

I dont remember that he said he did. In fact the title of this thread is "I Hope...." not they are. The funny thing is I have seen many people saying they will change the bh but everytime I ask where they got this info it seems strangely quite on the board. In fact your the only one i recall ever responding and yours dosnt answer the question but poses an irrelevant attempt at being cute. good job killer

unfortunately though the BH is too strong for a helicopter. It;s armor should be toned down and minigun be a bit more inaccurate. Its ridiculous as it stands right now. A BH would never take multiple tank round in the side then just fly away from repairs.

I was playing Zatar Wetlands few days ago. MEC (we) got the middle CP. Everyone moved to other CPs (usual mistake). I saw BH in the distance and jumped into the attack chopper (my favourite tool for taking BHs down).

Man, was I shocked when few seconds later BH stopped some 20-30m above the CP and 5 (five) guys parachuted out.

BH quickly turned around and went towards its base, while I didn't know what to do. No gunner, no other friendly soldiers at the CP and I had 5 guys in vicinity.

I stay in the chopper (as gunner) on the ground - AT missiles are coming my way. I get out of the chopper, 5 of them will slaughter me in a second.

They captured the base quickly and killed me in the chopper (guy went straight to the AA on the top of the house) while I tried to give them some missiles from the flying attack chopper. Granted, I could've stayed as gunner in the chopper on the ground and pound them with gun for next 5 minutes, but it's such a crap. No gameplay in gunning one point for 5 minutes.

I was *impressed* by the squad, and I think THIS is the way Black Hawk SHOULD be used. This was WAY more efficient than hovering w/ BH and trying to cap the flag. They actually took the flag quickly (5 of them), killed the resistance, and CP was in their possesion. If they hovered, I'd kill them in 5 secs. But they played clever.

Wish I could see more of this.

How about instead of you people complaining about this and that and it should be changed so it makes it easier for you...don’t lie this is what you want...

why don’t you use some ingenuity and figure out ways to overcome your shortfalls and problems with the game...try working as a team and try different tactics just dont get all pissy pants cuz you cant beat it right off the bat...

if EA/DICE made all the changes everyone suggested the game would be boring and require no skill at all....I find it funny that everyone complains about everything in the game and for every one person that complains about something there is another person that disagrees...It is a game people and its fun as hell, if it wasn’t then why are you constantly playing and constantly talking about it...

no you stfu and stop relying on them to get any score. miniguns are NOT meant to be the rapid fire, aoe, lasers of doom they currently are.

Wow, anyone who opposes you is automatically someone who has to depend on a Blackhawk for a good score? Way to over generalize. I have just as much fun taking out Blackhawks as I do riding in them. Infact it can be more rewarding as you get all those kills at once and you help your team out by getting those flag cappers out of the way. If they come back, just kill'em again, 12 more points on a full load.

Miniguns aren't meant to be rapid fire? If a gun that can fire up to 6000 rounds per minute isn't rapid fire, I'd love to see the kind of weapon you consider to be rapid fire. And "Lasers of doom"? Battlefield 2 is supposed to be set in the near future, but I don't think it's THAT far in the future.

What, can't handle realism? And I agree, not many things in the game are realistic. If the Blackhawk were realistic who knows how much more people would complain about it.

The balance problem isn't in how the Blackhawk works, it's how those who are getting killed by it react. So what if the thing comes in and kills you. That doesn't mean spawn back, stand there, and complain some more when it kills you again. That means take cover, regroup with a few teammates, and kill it. It's that simple, and it works just as effectively as the Blackhawk does in capping flags. You have squad features, a squad chat, VOIP, all built into the game so there's no excuse to NOT be able to coordinate and take down the Blackhawk before it takes just a couple of flags.

oh my, classic response.
apart fromt he fact that blackhawks have more armour and more weapons better suited to killing infanty, light armour and apcs. the 3 choppers you named are attack helicopters. they are meant to be bad ass, not flying buses. they also only have 2 ppl, they can only cap a flag at one third the rate of a blackhawk.

So if some squad decides to be a good BH crew and take all flags, why not the opposite team makes a good AT squad to defend flags against capping blackhawk ?

I don't know why ya all complaining about this issue so much, probably playing with noobs. So far I played and everywhere BHks are being totally owned either by Vodniks or T-90 or Jets...when playing on Clean Sweep BH is my primary target when Im in jet, and at one game I was able to shoot down 4 of them in a round..the first two had 3 ppl in it, and the last two only one person...other players realized that cheap BH whoring is no longer available.....

I look at all of this as part of the game. Blackhawks are a great tool and maybe people need to practice the anti-blackhawk tactics.
-Snipers can shoot the pilots.:dead:
-Anyone can shoot a member inside the blackhawk.:ar15:
-EVERYONE CAN SHOOT THE BLACKHAWK. :guns:

So what does that tell me?.....
Start shooting the blackhawks and quit complaining about them.

I have taking out several Blackhawks with small arms fire. You just have to keep shooting.:)

It's much easier to come on these forums and scream and yell like a spoiled Nine year old and try to get the developers to change the game so it fits your own playstyle. Why would you want to try and actually play the game and have fun?

The reason I love this game the way I do is because depending on what map you are playing on, there can be so many ways to play. Sometimes, I don't feel like being infantry being run through a meat grinder constantly trying to get the flag (Karkand). No problem....I just choose another map.

When I don't feel like fighting off air power like the BlackHawk, I'll usually steer away from maps that the Blackhawk is on. Why must you people scream and yell trying to get the game changed to the way that fits you and only you. I usually play MEC as assault and have had to deal with the Blackhawk on many occasions. If you're in a squad and have any teamwork involved at all, it's not that big of a deal.

Some of you guys will never be happy with this game. I've been playing the Battlefield series since BF 1942 and some of you guys are bitching about gameplay that has been here since that first game. Just play the game already, and if it's so horrible to you...QUIT.

if you actually took the time to read this forum, there are plenty of people who don't like the way the helos can cap flags. its not just 1 or 2 people...
