I don't think people care about ground vehicles being able to cap flags, because it makes sense.

A blackhawk from the air, however, hovering over an area that still has defending enemy units (in the flag radius) and causing the flag to still be taken over is ridiculous.

that is a good point. However, if they still are able to what would probably fix the problem somewhat is just make it so no matter how many teammates are in the flag radius, the flag is still capped in the same ammount of time. Thats how it was in DC and this was never a problem. Admittedly though it wasnt a problem for the most part because helicopters in DC actually required some skill to hover and it didnt hold your hand and do it for you like this game.

There is no way a chopper should be allowed to 'claim' territory or 'influence', when there are still ground troop present.

Caping a flag is like owning the teritory, if you own the teritoy with a chopper, well, then you own the teritory

apart fromt he fact that blackhawks have more armour and more weapons better suited to killing infanty, light armour and apcs. the 3 choppers you named are attack helicopters. they are meant to be bad ass, not flying buses. they also only have 2 ppl, they can only cap a flag at one third the rate of a blackhawk.

I don't give a rats ass if you whiners get the BH nerfed so it can't cap flags. i'll just fly around in circles on your precious bases and mow down countles MECs and get just as many points as if I were flag hopping.

Sure it sux when you get a squad on a BH with some engineers but all you need is two frakking AT'ers and a support defending a flag on Mashtuur. Problem is barely anyone plays defense and just 'flag chases' and leaves a flag unattended.

Last night played a bunch with the blackhawk on kubra/mashtuur/op. clean sweep...got taken out tons of times and still lost maps even though decent amount of flag hopping/capping. If I'm mec on Mashtuur I just go BH hunting...and everyone has to admit taking out a fully loaded BH is like crack, hahah. Somehow I took out a loaded BH with a GP-30 by shooting at the top of the inside of the cabin and the chopper wasn't even smoking...go figure.

You guys that are saying it wont matter that the BH cant take flags are forgetting that your BH wont be as powerful either so you wont sit there mowing down MEC

The reason I love this game the way I do is because depending on what map you are playing on, there can be so many ways to play. Sometimes, I don't feel like being infantry being run through a meat grinder constantly trying to get the flag (Karkand). No problem....I just choose another map.

When I don't feel like fighting off air power like the BlackHawk, I'll usually steer away from maps that the Blackhawk is on. Why must you people scream and yell trying to get the game changed to the way that fits you and only you. I usually play MEC as assault and have had to deal with the Blackhawk on many occasions. If you're in a squad and have any teamwork involved at all, it's not that big of a deal.

Some of you guys will never be happy with this game. I've been playing the Battlefield series since BF 1942 and some of you guys are bitching about gameplay that has been here since that first game. Just play the game already, and if it's so horrible to you...QUIT.

Alright, looks like they need to make the Color Guard Kit who will have a nice set of white gloves (Only way to raise and lower the flag) and a M1 that shoots blanks.

OK, if they DO make it impossible to cap flags with a Blackhawk, or even make it less appealing (maybe only the pilot gets points, it takes twice as long as say one person, whatever they do) I still envision Blackhawks owning the battlefield. Why? Because everyone is too busy complaining about them than shooting at them. So when the Blackhawks can't simply cap flags, they're just going to mow you down until the ground forces get there, probably INCREASING their scores, and making life even worse for you. Let's face it, that minigun is what it's SUPPOSED to be, a rapid-fire machine of doom for any organism that may be cursed to come within sight of the person operating it.

It's kind of sad, there are starting to be more threads about how to deal with Blackhawks now that EA has said they're going to nerf something that doesn't need it. Y'all shut up and play the game and actually team up with those people on your team, they're called TEAMmates for a reason, use teamwork. Blackhawks are only going to be invincible as long as you sit there and THINK they are. It's all in the head, if you think it's invincible, nerfed or not, you'll get owned, no matter what.

no you stfu and stop relying on them to get any score. miniguns are NOT meant to be the rapid fire, aoe, lasers of doom they currently are.
