Will you leave BF2 when Quake 4 hits?

Quake 4 is just around the corner, so will you play that when it comes out?

Quake 3 is still pretty amazing, so I think I will give Q4 a shot. BF2 is just too slow sometimes, with large maps and whatnot.

Although they are two very different FPS games, I will have to see which I like better- varied and slow, or fast!

    Nope.

I'm not into the fast paced FPS games anymore.

I used to play the original Quake, Quake 2, Quake 3, Q3TA, UT, UT2K3 ... but once I played BF1942, then BFV...I couldn't go back.

SO much more strategy instead of running and gunning.

I bought UT2k4 but played it online for maybe an hour before putting it on the shelf for good. I played BFV like crazy.

I will be playing BF2 until BF3 comes out

You can't even compare them with eachother.

agreed. at least bf2 is quasi-realistic. Q4 is for the guy with the fastest reflexes. will i ditch bf2? eventually. when i get gunny sarge and COD2, Q4 and perfect dark: zero come out for x360 this november.

No not for Q4, maybe ET:Q wars but not Q4. The whole quake series is just rubbish, who came up with the name Strogg anyway? a five year old autistic child could do better.

i do prefer the doom engine... but there really isnt anything like the BF series to be honest. its its own type of game.

I couldn't stop playing Quake 1 and 2 when i was 7 years old, i did suck alot, yes, but it was fun nontheless, Quake 3 is boring. I loved the campaigns in 1 and 2.

no. BF2 is much deeper than Quake.

Quake style games are dead for me. They are just too simplistic these days compared with someone like BF2. I might be intersting in ET: Quake wars though as that sounds like a far more complex game along the lines of BF2.

Quake 1 and 2 were awesome. Q3 was a massive dissappointment; I knew they'd struggle to match its predecessors, but honestly....
Anyway, I will get it 'cos Stroggs are so cool, but I'll still find time to play BF2 as well. I won't play it online, and single player never tends to last that long for me. Doom 3 got tedious fairly quickly tbh.
