Hey can anyone post video's of them or someone else doing manouvres in DC that you can't do in BF2, I see a lot of people complaining that you can't do certain things in BF2 that you could do in DC. If you want to explain to people like me who have never played DC why the controls are better this is the way to do it.

When i get back to the states i'll be happy to make a movie of this.

I won't even use the littlebird, which wouldn't be fair to you cuz i can practically fly that damn thing upside down (metaphorically speaking of course).

Hell, to make it nice and simple, the rudder control is much better, as in faster and more realistic. Flying the cobra in BF2 is like flying a transport chopper in Desert Combat in terms of responsiveness and versatility. A small aircraft like that should be extremely responsive.....not sluggish and slow to respond to inputs the way BF2 is. The only reason BF2 is like this is so n00bs can jump in a helicopter and fly it right from the start without any practice at all, like driving a tank.

You didn't see n00bs flying helicopters in DC, and if they did try, you can usually see them crash it before they get out of eyesight. It was a skill people had to develop, and once you did, you could inflict a LOT of damage.

DC covered a War that was done a LONG time ago...Operation Desert Storm 1991.

dc controls were sweet dc is still fun. i love how amazingly unrealistic it is even more so then bf2, im not saying its bad its what made it so damn fun the little birds just owned i love them. i hated everything that didnt fly in dc though.

Let me start off by saying I LOVE this game. Thats right I love it. And I'm not ashamed to say it.... BUT......

Well I wish that they had a little more variation in the vehicles catagory. Every team has one of everything. tank, apc, helicopter. All handle pretty much the same and can take about the same amount of dammage, same driving speed, same air to gorund missles ect. ect. blah blah blah(with the exception of jeeps and the black hawk). And if the is any difference its not a lot
You might as well just play US vs Us and leave the other teams out of it.

BF Vietnam had a lot more variation when it came to vehicles. But they had a lot of patches. One can only hope they listen to this type of "constructive comments" at DC.

I still have my fiath in the BF crew:salute: , and can't wait to see how handle this.

I fell like Im the only person who barely uses vehicles in bf2, I think infantry combat is much better
And by the way someone who said they wouldnt make as much money if they released it with everything in it YOU DONT HAVE TO PAY MONEY FOR PATCHES MORON!!

Had some of my friends drop into a game of DC with me last night and man it was fun. Definitely takes some time to get use to the game once again but after an hour it all comes back. The infantry combat is just incredible. I released how much faster paced it is compared to BF2, you can die a lot but you get into the action much more. The controls for DC are so much tighter and the gameplay feels more diverse. Everything just feels more balanced. If only the graphics were better.

I was a bf1942 fanatic -- played loads of Desert Combat -- I got a lot of my friends involved and it was great.

I prided myself in my skills as a pilot it took a lot of work to master but that's what made the game so gratifying -- That is what set bf1942 apart from all the other games -- the difficulty and realism in the controls.

When BF2 came out I was very excited until I sat in a chopper I was heart-broken the controls were dumb-down so badly it took a lot of the maneuverability out of the vehicle -- I have not purchased the game and will not purchase the game -- as a result only a couple of my friends ended up buying bf2 and I gave them a hard time telling them it's for noobz...

I just don't see the point in making a game with a level of difficulty that requires a certain level of proficiency – then having it be a huge success as is -- then turning around and making a sequel that dumbs the game down so it requires less skill... I hope whoever made that call dies in a fire...
