Artillery may cause negative points to your actual score, but if your trying to get an award, negative points don't go against them. Lets say your trying to get a Staff Officer ribbon, you have 45 points so far and no tks or anything. Then you decide to drop artillery on a base and you accidentaly get a tk and team vehicle damage (total of -5 points) then your Commander Score will go back to 40, but the award system won't recognize those negative points and think your still at 45 even though at the top the screen it says 40. Now, you finally get 5 more points and get the Staff Offier Ribbon, and wonder why you got it at 45 instead of 50. This is because the awards system had still thought you were at 45 before and then added those 5 points, so now it think you have 50 when you really have 45. This means it's fine if you tk when commanding if you're trying to get an award, besides the fact that you would lose a ticket, otherwise it doesn't really matter. -
3:1 win lose ratio makes sense, although very hard to get! I fi were to get it, i'd need 83 wins striaght to get it. I took a look at the person who has got this (posted in this thread) and there win/lose ratio is just below 3:1, so its very possible that he had a 3:1 ratio when he got it!Comment

what are you talking about? the only thing confirmed wrong was the k/d ratio (its wins/losses). everything else as far as i know and from what ive seen is correct (50 hours, 33 minutes round, 45 points). if im wrong, please let me know what im missingOriginally posted by DeezThat is all wrong, its been confirmed alreadyComment

Nah i think it do requires a total commander score of 12000 and not a 50 hours as ubar states.
About the points required during round. The person that first got the award got it same round as veteran command and he got it before veteran command (at 40 points he states) but I am less sure about this.
What we do know for sure is that it requires total points, points in round and time in round + zero or more hidden reqs.
What we also do know is that K/D is total b*** s*** becuase I had a round with uber stats and I had the K/D ratio but still didnt get the ribbon.

well i would have to disagree with you there. ubar has not missed a step in terms of requirements (besides the 3/1 K/D ratio which got mixed up with a 3/1 win/loss ratio, so i think they are most probably correct on all the rest of the requirements, and it seems like their source is quite reliable). you could be correct, but i dont know where your getting 12000 points from. Also, the numbers dont add up. 50 hours of commander time would probably give some one on avg of about 6000 commander points, while 12000 would take someone almost 100 hours of playtime. Therefore i dont understand why they would make the requirements 50 hours AND 12000 points. If 12000 points was required, i would think EA would make it 100 hours of required command timeComment

That are the FACTS from Dice. Not from some "secret" source. I am pretty confident that the official requirements from Dice is correct and Proficiency, Rating and Qualification has nothing to do with total command time.Originally posted by jonnysanchezMy Theory:
Comparisons
the requirements for veteran command badge are
15,000 commander points
33 minutes as commander in one game.
Command Proficiency (total commander score): Skilled
Command Qualification (time as commander in one game): Outstanding.
now, Commander Proficiency for the w.c ribbon is Good, and the Qualification Outstanding. so we know that the Qualification (total time in one round) is the same for both the veteran badge and the ribbon, (33 minutes in one round) and the proficiency (total commander score) for the ribbon is less than the vet badge (15,000) (global commander score - could be 10,000)
ok. so we know that you need 33+ minutes in one round, and at least 10,000 to 13,000 global points.
now. have a look at the staff officer ribbon.
Command Rating: Satisfactory. this is the commander score in one round which for the staff officer ribbon you need 50. outstanding is 3 levels higher than satisfactory so im guessing youl'll need 75+ if not 100+ (excluding the 2x bonus). put it all together and you have
Commander Proficiency: (10,000 - 13,000)
Commander Rating: (~75 -100+ in one game)
Commander Qualification: (33+ minutes in one round)
I believe 50 global commander hours is not part of the criteria nor is the kill to death ratio of 3. all we need now is for someone to test it
We have seen proof that people actually have gotten the ribbon without being close to 3:1 K/D
So I think the ubar reqs are down the drain. I do think however that Dice might have put in some other requirement that they do not list. The description on the badge gives a hint...Comment

Well, yes I agree with you about the official description. BUT i mean, UBAR has been correct on everything, even the obscure 3/1 ratio they had correct (except it was the wrong thing: kill/death vs win/loss). The guy who made that theory that you need 12000 commander points or whatever, it was his theory. you cant compare the requirements of one ribbon to anotherOriginally posted by DeusThat are the FACTS from Dice. edit: here is a quote from G3157 from July 11 on the planetbattlefield forum regarding this: "I have no idea what the reqs for War College are. I got the War College Ribbon at 40 points in the round I was playing, but it was the same round I got my Basic Commander badge. I'm *GUESSING* that to be too much of a coincidence, and I either needed the BCBadge -OR- Had to have an in-round score of 40 to get the ribbon. I didnt get my Basic Commander badge until I had like 9k commander points and 70hrs spent, before I finally got into a round where I got 40 points pre-doubling"
so from this we can deduce that he got his basic commander badge & war college ribbon at the same time, at 9000 commander points. therefore, 12000 is way to high, if there is even a min commander scoreComment
