Guys can you stop saying you know how the scoring system for commander works when you obviously don't have a clue.

Deus is 100% correct and I have verified it myself. There is no need for j-train and the rest to talk out of their arse holes anymore.

I would be interested in more info on exactly how the stat system registers a team win or loss.

I speculate it may work as follow:

Which ever team you spent the most time on gives you a win or loss. So if you spent 20mins on MEC then 15 mins on USMC and MEC win, you would be awarded with the win in your stats. But... is there a minimum time on the sever before you register a win or lose? If you join a server then leave after 5 seconds and the team you joined go onto win the round do you still get the win?

How does this affect earning the war college badge? Well for someone like me who has 342:226 w/l it will be very difficult to ever get this award. I would need 336 wins with no loses! So I have come to the conclusion that I will not be one of the lucky few to get this ribbon. If I played the game with the sole intention of getting this award it will probably spoil the whole game for me. If a team is losing badly and is short on players I often swap sides to help them out and more often than not it is almost impossible to turn the game around so I end up with a loss. If wanted the War college ribbon I would never be able to do this.

DICE chose a very bad stat to achieve for this. Trying for a 3:1 w:l ratio means people will never want to help out the losing side

      from gamefaqs:

Prerequisite of 50 hours logged as Commander then a Commander
score of 45 in one round

      hours not global score? :)

OMFG!!!! read the whole post and you will realise NOBODY knows for sure what the requirements are outside of EA/DICE. But from what we can figure out a 3:1 global win ratio is required.

They changed the reqs on UBAR. IT says:

          * Commander Score of 45 in 1 Game
          * 50 Global Hours as Commander
          * Global Win to Loss Ratio Must be Greater than 3

lets hope ubar is right on this
            wins so far = 519
            losses = 293

360 straight wins to go apparently, but that will probabbly be about 600 more wins realisticly speaking...

This is sick. Why do noobs get the award more easily than good players?

I cant believe that, how does the stats know which team ended up wining or loosing in that server??

                doesnt make sense

                  Deus-

Great analysis. As for 90% of the rest of the people in this thread: you ppl are f#cking idiots.

Deus- your work has shown exactly why the gameplay and design of BF2 is so piss poor: being a 'good' commander is the exact wrong thing to do if you want to be a successful commander, stats-wise.

If they designed the game right, you *would* get points for all the resupplies, order following. arty kills etc., but you don't. Oh well, here's hoping DICE will fix it... yeah right.

are you trying to piss people off???

its a WIN TO LOSS RATIO OF 3!!!

and for people who play the game properly, achieving this is next to impossible!!! i would have to restart a new player and just command for 50hrs straight on the longest possible rounds...the fewer rounds you play, the less distorted your ratio becomes.....no skill in that, DICE just ****ed up with this ribbon

Lol, sometimes the stupidity of other human beings is a sight to behold.

I agree that playing the game to get a high win/loss ratio is going to be very bad for game play, it encourages people to join sides which are already winning instead of helping the losing side.

I have considered playing on 16 players servers only so I can have a bigger affect on the outcome of the game. It would also help to pick servers with the lowest levels of skill of all.

Its impossible to get this ribbon if you didnt know that requirement.

I mean.. i need 500 straight wins to get it, hahaha

ya i was contemplating going for it (i also need like 500+ wins), but i would have to switch my whole playing style around . i mean, i dont mind going a bit out of my way to get an award, but this is absolutely retarded. sorry! im not sacrificing my fun of the game for the next few weeks to win a pixelating graphical ribbon

All we can hope for is that DICE include a new "OR" rule to be able to win the badge.

For example, 3:1 Win ratio OR total of 1000 Wins.
