Thank you. As I recall, the USA came far too late in both wars. In World War One, the Americans were mostly utterly inept in combat due to their lack of experience. Basically stood in a line and got mowed down in the beginning. Yet, due to the sheer numbers of men you could potentially throw at the tired Germanic army, the enemy was forced to launch the Lunendorff offensive or 'Kaisers War' - which very, very nearly succeeded. The counter-offensive that followed was a joint effort between American, French and British (inc. British commonwealth) armed forces.

You mention that the Iraqi's would be in Civvi clothes - what the hell does that matter when they're the only other people on the battlefield? It's not fun over there, so why make a mod about the realism of it? In that vein of thought, let's make a mod about the daily life of a chartered accountant, or brick layer, or farmer? It's realistic, therefore it's fun!

Agreed. Some people seem to think that realistic gameplay is more fun then arcade gameplay. And they're probably the same people who put friendly fire on (shame on you).
Games like BF2 which try to sit inbetween reality and fantasy are an exception, i admit sometimes i prefer certain aspects in games to be realistic instead of arcade (such as the weapon accuracy and damage). But the point of a game is that it's reasonably arcade. If you think the situation in Iraq is fun then you need to wake up.

If you took the US out of all the wars that were fought in the last 200 years, what do you think the outcomes would have been?

Here it what we the US should do, stop all our humanitarian aid to other countries. Never put foot soldiers into combat on foreign soil, just drop booms, the bigger the better, can you say parking lot. Only help other counties that help us.

I didn't say I was more intelligent than an entire race of people, was merely commenting on the fact that the Americans were ineffective - it was a major shift between imperial warfare and industrial warfare, and the Americans had had no chance to adapt.

Nor do I have anything against Americans in general at all. What I will not tolerate is people screaming glorified stories about how Europe owes their freedom to America, when it isn't that black and white.

North Korea, China and Iran are your enemies, not Europe's. Why should we help you in matters that don't concern us?

If the US didn't fight in a war or give aid for two centuries (lets make it one century, your grasp on history must be a little sketchy), then the USA would lose. Why do you think Americans became involved in WW1 and WW2? Because the victor in Europe would be able to compete with America in a very real sense - a consolidated Europe run by a cruel dictatorship would be immensely rich.

Actually a lot of people would play it. You know why, because it would be fun, and because its a big kiss my ass to the politically correct pricks. Have you ever played Desert combat realism, where you get a suicide vest and run into a big grouping of people and detonate yourself? Its fun. This is not real life in a box, its a ****ing game, everyone needs to get over it. A bunch of data converted into frames and sound. No one is getting hurt, its just fun. What should the jihadists wear? What do they wear IRL? Civvy clothes. (and whoever said their not insurgents are right. We arent fighting doctors and lawyers, we're fighting jihadists with plans to literrally take over the west) We give the marines clothes that they wear IRL, why not the jihadists?
