Parachute not opening

its a feature not a bug.

It is.. it was like that in BFV too. How dumb would it be to just see people running up to the second floor of buildings and parachuting behind you from like 8 feet up. That would look retarded lol.

Parachutes will only open onvce you have reached the right speed, you can tell when you reach this because your gun disappears on to your back so you dont see a gun, also it wont open if you are parachuting in an alley way, near a tree/object or a wall that the parachute may come in contact with.

The best is when you hear it deploy but you continue to gain speed. You look at your screen like "huh" and think "oh ****" and hit 9 as many times as you can... but it's too late cause now you are grass fertilizer...

I've had my parachute open only to vanish on the way down. I think it may have been "snagged" on something. Not sure. It wasn't lag, though, because it was open for a good few seconds.

just hit the 9 button faster and harder than you'd hit jessica simpson..... works like a charm

I hit "9" repeatedly (about 4-5 times) and it deploys fine.. I've never had it fail on me..

I just press it once. Sometimes it'll open, sometimes it won't.

I had the same problem, but I remaped my chute to the Spacebar key and now it opens everytimes. Maybe its just a coincidence

Also, if you are falling with you chute open, and you hit the wall of a building, you will lose your chute

Never had a problem always hit 9 and im sailing on down into enemy territory with a cig in my mouth and a frag in my hand.............. suicideeeeeeeeeee

Hmmm, people wouldn't be suffering from the "can only register limited number of keys on keyboard" thing would they? (This is a problem with the way PC keyboards work, not a bug in the game) For example, I can hold down W+A+S (anticlockwise donuts in GTA-SA) but not W+D+S (clockwise donut).

I havent tried it, but possible the keyboard is not registering the "9" when holding "W" or something... it's a long shot, but you never know, it might explain why the key remapping thing worked.

sorry but youre all wrong. its not a bug its not a problem. if you jump off a building and youre too close to a wall it wont open because it cant. you have to allow enough space between you and the wall/cliff/building for it to deploy. it has nothing to do with speed.

Actually, the answer to your problem is simple. Youre hitting the wrong key. the correct key(s) is alt+F4.

Someone believed me when i said that. next thing i know i saw PLAYER has been disconnected from server. i felt bad. but he came back on the other team and killed me a few times.
