remember this if you're going to unlock the pkm! if you're on kubra dam, for example, switch to the support stock gun. karkand, use the pkm.

My score and overall accuracy have gotten a shot in the arm since unlocking the PKM. The proof's in the puddin'. Plus, you can rip through all of the jeeps, and chopper whores have to account for you, now.

i wish i got the PKM instead of the G3. when the unlocks were unlocked for everybody, i used solid PKM. i play constant suport gunner and with the flag captures, ammo points and kills i get 80- 90 points per round. do not get the G3 it sux.

PKM is a great unlock. If someone gets the jump on you, it's tough to recover, as the slower rate of fire kinda hurts. However, if you get the jump on someone else, they will be hating it.

            That said...

Before you get all starry-eyed about it, I recommend you actually play the Support class without it. The PKM enhances the gameplay and power of the Support class....it doesn't turn it into a different kit.

If you don't like Support before the unlock, I seriously doubt you'll like it after the unlock.

My experience with the global unlocks was that the PKM seems overal at least as good as the M295, and a lot better than the MEC/PLA MGs. I hate playing support as MEC/PLA now (still slogging to Corp. where I'll unlock PKM) as I can't seem to hit/do enough damage to enemy players with their MGs. I do a whole lot better with the M295, and did with the PKM.

So, yes, id you play Support enough to warrant it, get the PKM, it means you won't have to worry about which side you're on. And, yes, PKM I guess mostly at short to medium range. I personally seem to only really play Support on the more urban maps anyway.

                Haha, that made me laugh.

Yeah, there's nothing in cold war era USSR guns that has to do with quality. Only durability, and reliabilty. If you want quaility guns, go for a US or modern era Russian gun like the AK-101, Terrorists don't go for quality, they go for cheap, reliable guns, like the Ak-47.

Wait, isn't reliability quality? It shoots when it counts?

It says the PKM has the same stats as the RPk-74. Even though i like the look of the rpk more, the PKM is without a doubt better, it causes more damage, and because it has a slower rate of fire its more accurate. You can totally mow people down when prone.

But my next unlock is probably going to be the G3. Allthough the g36c is really accurate, im not a big fan of spec ops. Plus the G3 sounds damn nice as well as it looks and performs.

Well, you could say reliability is a quality, but i should have said this in my last post but i meant higher quality lightter materials, more accuracy. You could put the M16 butt stocck to your forehead, and fire it full auto and only get a minor headache, with the AK, you would die, or be permantly concussioned (i dunno the word but that means you become really stupid and stay like that,) But the newer rifles from the Russians like the AN-94 or AK 108, use plastic materials that are lighter and use the 5.56 round, as well as have a ton less recoil. But the Ak-47 was no such thing like the AN-94 or the AK-108.

What is modern about a 46 year old design? The AK-101 is just an AKM(c.1959) with a different stock, and different caliber...

There has been no major advance in Kalashnikov design since 1959. Every change has been mostly cosmetic and incredibly slight.

BUt still, the modern AKs still have their reliability, but they are much lighter than before. Plus much more accuate than before. Yes, it is the same design, but the M16A2 is the same design as the jamming M16, and it still jams in combat, just not as much. but other rifles like the G36 and the Steyr Aug, are pretty much brand new designs, but the G36 uses the proven system of the G3 becaus it is reliable and is trusted.

the design has... the guns themselves don't
